[QUOTE="carljohnson3456"][QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]Resistance: Fall of Man is so much better. Sure, the co-op in Resistace 2 rocks, but overall, Fall of Man is just better. Better story, better narrative, better environments, and you have the ability to carry a ton of weapons. BioShockOwnz

I agree the narrative and storyline was better... but I like Resistance 2 much better. And carrying a ton of weapons was cool... but kinda took the realism out of it... felt very "Ratchet and Clank" to me.

Other than co-op, Resistance 2 feels like a step back. Resistance: FoM just handled things a hell of a lot better.

I disagree completely.

Btw, You're fighting freaking aliens with crazy toy guns, so "realism" should never play a part in Resistance. Give me the ability to carry all my crazy*** guns, k? I don't want to be limited to 2 guns. That's no fun.

Dude, playing with toy guns and fighting aliens is totally real. I do it every weekend!!! lol...

In all seriousness, I get what you're saying, I just feel like that feature feels cheap... look at games like Gears, COD4, etc, etc. They all carry one gun at a time (or at least one gun in each class). I think it adds realism (if only for a brief moment before you melee a 8 eyed alien in the face) and makes the game a bit more challenging. Should I pick up this magnum? Nah... I'll just blast a defense wall with my Auger and blow away some Chimera... totally realistic..

Odd how people are surprised that a sequal to an average-looking launch title is improved on graphically, so much so that an entire thread is made about it. :|

Sorta like making a thread for perfect dark zero comparing it to the N64 - Silly. Obviously it'll be a big improvement. Can't understand why people prefer R1 either, It's one of the few games this gen i couldn't finish. Thought it was utter garbage. Perhaps i just didn't get far enough into it, I'm tempted to force myself through it because I'm a bit clueless as to whats going on in R2 but I've resisted so far.

Those are doctored screens, the ps3 can't do that level of AA.-wii60-
If you had actually played the game, you would know it actually looks like that in-game.

Some people just google things like these, and try to post in them and create an account.

Call me strange but I liked R:FOM better than R2. R2 just lacks that 'real' feeling to it and the lack of narration basically just kills any chance I ever had at understanding the plot. I got lost as soon as some davidless thing escaped in the prologue and there was no one to explain it for me. Also, R2 feels too much like COD4, which wasn't a bad game. But that feeling you got in R:FOM when you hear that BANG and a Chimera dies... It's not there anymore.fluxorator

Davidless?

I don't know how to spell it either, but it's still funny. I think it's Dedilus or something.

Anyways I think R1 had a better story and the campaign was more fun. Me and my brother are currently playing R1 coop campaign, and almost every part I think I remember this part was really good. Also I wasn't fond of the coop in R2.

I think resistance 1 was better in many ways. More brilliant set pieces like the cathedral and large scale battles.

Also in the first i liked how all the enemies could die depending on how you play, like the bit where the big stick creature is strangling that bloke, saving him really helps.

Ive not completed R2 yet but so far all the deaths have been scripted which i felt was a huge letdown. Plus only being able to carry 2 guns is very un-insomniac...
