[QUOTE="Episode_Eve"]Features not seen in Halo 3:
Bots/ Frag of the Day/ Online Tournaments/ Training/ Clans/ Grudge Matches/ K&M/ Money-Economy/ Clases/
Also if you read the explanation for the gameplay modes yuo will see that most of them aren't the same concept.
The only feature missing in Resistance 2 (according to these docs) is The Forge mode.
Grive
Bots, clans, and clases aren't in halo, correct. I did mention clases was nothing new, though. Frag of the day is pretty much akin to bungie's favorites, online tournaments can be implemented in halo 3 through server-side playlists. Grudge matches, K&M and money I did mention in my post. Training is present in halo. I probably didn't put my argument through correctly. I first mentioned all that wasn't in Halo (though I did miss bots), and then pretty much wanted to say that everything else was standard in Halo. A small mistake on my part.
I amended my post with an edit because I had misread the table. Yes, the modes do seem different, but they're not many. I see only 6 of them, of which 2 are core modes, 2 are planned features, one is a "hopefully might be able to implement" and one is under "heavy prototyping", though this last one sounds like it's the most ambitious -and I did make note of that.
I see absolutely nothing special to call Resistance the deepest game out there. It's certainly ahead of the curve, but it's hardly unique.
And with a planned SP lenght of 5.5 hours.
It doesnt have to be absolutely innovative. Hell, Halo 3 didnt have to be innovative. If you count all known features for the shooter category and put them into ONE game, that game will be incredibly DEEP content rich. That is what Resistance 2 aims to be.
I didn't know a training feature was present in Halo 3 :?. If there is please tell me where it is so I can try it out for myself.
But in the end, if Resistance 2 boasts all of these features it will have more features than ANY FPS on consoles. And thats is huge my friend. The only thing I can think of that is not here is a real map creator. Now that would be amazing :).
