Ah now i see. So because it has chainsaws and dismemberment it is emulating gears of war.

I guess gears of war was the first game to ever have chainsaw and gore in a game.

No I don't think it's the same concept at all really...it's more of a copy of one of the weapons from turok. Also, I really doubt they are trying to "emulate" gears, fanboys just think they are.

you fail. and resistance developers are the ratchet & clank developers (Insomniac) too lol so THEY came up with this 4 YEAR OLD idea.

Actually going by your logic epic copied them, and gears just wanted an idea for more gore in their game. Why not rip off Sony? emulating Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal.

Gears invented saws, blades, and bayonets. Basically, all Civil War weapons are Lancer clones and lumberjacks have been using saws wrong for centuries.

And if you're going to saw its copying something, make sure it's, y'know, actually copying it. Insomniac used this in a previous RAtchet Game, and its been used in other games (Hell, I used one similar to it in a previous Epic game, The Ripper in UT99. You'd be more accurate if you had said it's copying htat, although it is different with the alt fire and more accurate physics. Just pointing that out.)

Other than the DATE, it's nothing like GeoW2.

That weapon doesn't look like a lancer either, if you knew that INSOMNIAC made RESISTANCE and RATCHET, you would know that that weapon is very typical of them.

Well, if you played RESISTANCE AND RATCHET. I know I did, but I also played GeoW as well. I play them if they are good games, not based on what system they come out on.

imo it acts like the ripper from Metal Arms: Glitch in the System. Of course, nobody else played this gem, so i look completely insane. pis3rch

However, I still think that after playing Resistance, I really just think its a run-n-gun shooter that doesnt change anything..

And Dont say halo is the same thing... If you actually OWNED halo 3, then you wouldnt say another word of "Halo is overrated"

And I also really think PS3 fanboys should STOP inventing the term "Halo-Killer"

cows didn't invent the words "halo killer", the media did. and having actually owned halo3 i still think its overrated at 9.5. its a solid 8.3 for me. maybe an 8.7(but then again, i almost never rate a game AAA)

Halo killer was invented by the media for Killzone (1). Stop generalizing the ps3 fanboys.

A good shooter doesn't need to change anything it just has to be good.

No, they actually have used that gun in Ratchet and clank practically, I think it was called Buzz Blades.

I think it'll be a complete rip off if you could blade saw enemies in close combat.

Since Resistance 2 is trying to compete with Gears of War 2, then both are fighting for that AAA expectation. One thing for sure Gears of War 2 already wins in the day one sales department.
