Resistance 2 trying to compete with Gears of War 2

if Resistance 2 is better than Resistance 1, and R2 then flops, I will boycott MS for the rest of my life... maybe....

Resistance 1 was not perfect but it was still outstanding, and Insomniac is the type of studio that doesn't trash it's own franchises, they smooth out the rough patches and deliver a better product each time.

but GEOW2 looks exactly like the first one with your logic....the difference with both is more robust online offerings

I just rebeat the entire Resistance: Fall of Man campaign today. I dont think the game is aweful at all, and most would agree.

I guess that's why opinions vary.

I just rebeat the entire Resistance: Fall of Man campaign today. I dont think the game is aweful at all, and most would agree.

i find it funny that theres even factioning amongst ps3 fanboys on which will be the better fps either R2 or killzone2 i know they are basically completely different but still shouldnt everyone be happy with their own respective choices rather then bicker over something they can not control (game development)

Oh yeah, everyone should be happy with their own choices, but I think Resistance 2 will run circles around Killzone 2 myself... just my opinion. lol.

For sure its trying to compete with Gears 2.

Gears is a new Halo for the 360. Sony wants to rival it with Resistance, there's no question about it.

this games gonna frickin own...and so is gears 2......i really see no competition...just 2 games i can't wait to play

did you even play resistance .....while its not as good as gears....it was a VERY good game.....very addictive and the atmosphere was very interesting

for me i think it will come down to story which one will have a better story, i have high hopes for both but im almost certain they all (including GEOW) will have solid gameplay and for a game thats what counts, im really am interested in the online co-op options of R2 and GEOW2

wow ive been hyped for R2 but i found that video underwhelming, the gore seems kinda lame

but then again, i did just watch the new gears vid

weapons in R2 probably will be better, more varied and there will be a larger selection.... however am waiting for both games to be released, am sure both will be excellent titles with great online play...
