Resistance 2 vs. Halo 3, which of these FPS's had the worst graphics?

Let me start of by saying both of these games graphically look horrible. Jaggies, bad polygons, washed out colors, you name it. I believe that both of these FPS's could have been done on the original xbox. Is this not next-gen? Halo 3 looks like your on an acid trip in Willy Wonka's toy factory and Resistance 2 is just brown and ugly.

Anyways which of these crappy looking games have the worst graphics? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.......................

If anyone believes either of these look like Xbox games, then ya'll need to go back and hook up the OG Xbox to your HDTV. ;) Truly, you'd be amazed by how badly some games have aged.

Anyways, they're both about on par with each other. They look good enough, and both have huge spider walker things, except you totally get to dive on top of the ones in Halo 3 in a truly bad*** fashion. :)

Uh, no. The Leviathan was pretty much a QTE (not really). You just ran around and got in spots the developer wanted you to go, then shot off rockets. It didn't really fight back.

The Scarab was far more epic. Running up the catwalk and jumping down onto the scarab was crazy!

I didn't care that much for graphics plaiying Halo 3. My main gripe were the character models, if I have to talk about graphics exclusively...Salt_The_Fries

Haven't played Resistance 2 yet, but I was pretty disapointed with Halo's graphics.

Since we get something mind-blowing awesome looking like Gears, couldn't Halo look just as good?

Though I have to admit Halo in places looks awesome :D

Resistance 2 looks better but thats mostly because it came out this year. But saying they both could've been done on the original xbox is a bit over-exaggerated.

People who say Halo 3 has bad graphics aren't even looking closely at all. Go to theatre mode, and zoom in as close as you can on a spartans helmet, or the walls inside the bases on Snowbound. It looks real. And the map Ghost town has a nice colour pallette and lighting too.

It's also important to remember the awesome physics running all the time, that eats at memory too.

Regarding graphics as a whole Resistance is better. But Halo could be on par with it if it was an '08 game.

Still, Halo 3 has some of the best reacting and better looking water this gen.

Yes. He's actually comparing a game that sold a little over 1 million copies, if that, to a game that sold 2.5 million copies in its first NIGHT... Yea, thats not fair

BTW, Halo 3's textures arnt all that great but it has some of the best lighting and HDR is a game this gen

And halo 3 is still 9.5 here at GS..so grpahics isn't everything
