Resistance 3 is very average IMO

2. Generic, Repetitive, boring. In the 4 hour campaign of the campaign, all it was, which was just run, shoot and move on to next objective. shahilsyed

The same can be saidf about a lot of other FPS like COD's :roll:

Resistance 1 was so good, why didnt they just rehash that...

R3 added melee combat, weapon upgrades and an emotional story driven single player campaign. The series did evolve did you guys even play R3?

Yeah I wouldn't pay the $100 to get them all at them moment (Dual PAck + R3). I found the campaigns the get be slightly worse with each iteration. None of them are bad, but I liked the humans vs chimera all out war that happened in R1 and R2 rather than the lone wolf supersoldier you play as in the 3rd

Not entirely alone but a huge switch from having dozens of soldiers fighing against a Stalker in a courtyard like the first 2 had. At most you'll team up with 2 or 3 other NPCs. This is understandable given the situation in R3, but I just preferred the larger scale fights in R1 and R2

Although I did have alot of fun in the train mission, you cant realy interact with the boat or train, all it is, you stand in it. You cant control a turret or a minigun from the boat or training, you cant drive the boats which make it pointless.

To be honest, 4-5 hour campaign is only a few hours less than 6-8 hour campaign. I probably wouldn't notice the difference. Both pale in comparison to last gen with 15-20+ hours.Mr_Cumberdale

Wanna know why? Because Insomniac is a below average developer. People will bash SE and Capcom for mediocrity, well Insomniac deserves the same treatment. This gen they supplied rehashed R&C games that got worse with every new installment and a below average FPS thats laughable compared to the genre's elite. Now don't get me wrong, CoD is extremely average and only succeeds because consolites wouldn't know a great shooter even if moved in their house and slept in their bed. I will give CoD a nod for one thing though. It trys its hardest to maintain a acceptable fps which is mandatory in any shooter.

the only area in which COD shines is in its cheap multiplayer, this isnt my opinion it is known fact.

so to come here and leverage a bunch of criticisms at the single player of Resistance isnt just hypocritical its down right laughable, especially where cod's single player is an afterthough micheal bay B movie.

Well, considering the last good game Insomniac made was Spyro 3.... yeah.
