Resistance 3 was announced in an interesting way

Well, it shouldn't be a total shocker, since it will probably be due at holiday 2010, two years since R2. Should be great fun.:)

This FUTURE Resistance 3 Advertisement (Seen Two Posts Below) was placed for a FUTURE Columbia (Sony Owned) Movie called Battle : Los Angeles starring Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguezcoming out in 2011, so we will all be playing Resistance 3 when we see this movie.

This Billboard was seen in Shreveport, Louisiana, where apparently a lot of films are made. It's about an alien takeover of L.A.

Pretty neat when you think about movies and how advertising works.:)

Talk about milkage, three games in one generation :cry: Just kidding, I doubt it's real but I hope to see one more Resistance game before the end of the generation but I think having a trilogy in one generation is a bit overkillToriko42

How many Halo's will we see by the end of this gen, for instance. (We know about Halo Reach, and we got Halo 3, Halo ODST, and Halo Wars so far this gen)

Sony is building this New IP up, I don't see the problem...especially if a Resistance game takes two years to make, like GeoW.

If it takes two year plus to make this game, I don't mind.

Heck, VALVE is putting out L4D2 after only ONE YEAR!!!:shock:

Both Resistance and R2 are have users right now, go in the other room and pop them in.

Are you serious? Theres a two year difference. And Resistance 2 was totally different then Resistance 1.

How r they milking?

It was apparently put up for a product placement for an upcoming Columbia (Sony) movie that will release in early 2011. Neato , I like the franchise.

R2 was terrible but the first was very good.

The Co-op in R2 was however a great addition. The communites are far from "pretty large" Unless we're comparing them to PS2 games.

It has more then enough current users though.

It looks like R3 is base din America again, guess ill give it a miss unless it's amazing.

By the time Resistance 3 comes out, the PEGI should be completely standardised, thus meaning that the box art won't be ruined by some ugly BBFC age rating like the first two were. Woohoo!

Hopefully it's better than the second one. The only good thing the second one had going for it was the coop, otherwise it just felt like a CoD4 rippoff. Hopefully Insomniac makes the third one more like the first.

IMO it looks way to similar to Resistance 2.. You'd think they would change a little more than the building in the background. Anyway New York would be interesting. I wonder where else they will take it though.

If this is real, then atleast part of it is going to take place in NYC. The empire state building is in the letter I and statue of liberty in A. I live in NYC so it'll be fun to see how they do it. (Assuming this is real).

Most realistic games are based in euorpe or the middle east, sometimes in asian countries(BF2 in some levels)

Resistance 2 was a nice change of scenery because we got to fight in US Cities that we know and see landmarks. Hell i was pumped to play resistance 2 just so i could see how they layed out chicago(my hometown)

Then again why would a random shop in China be selling the PS3 slim months before it's announcement. We know Sony isn't the best at keeping things tight lipped. If this is real, someone probably got a leak of Insomniacs plans and put this up for the hell of it. But it still can be completely fabricated.

Every big game reaks of American. And a lot are set in America or based on it's exploits.

A game set in Manchester was a breath of fresh air. Do you even know where Manchester is?

It was bland as the devs kinda sucked graphically.Im not talking about the game though i meanamerica is bland and boring. It's such a over used setting in media.

They could at least show us more of Alaska or even the shouth for a nice change of pace.
