Resistance DLC release date final
Now that the bedlam between Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and the Church of England appears to be boiling down (for now), we'll be getting back on track with some good news for Resistance: Fall of Man. Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) Line Producer Greg Philips, the man who initially told us of the delay, is back once again to let the RFoM community know that their much-awaited downloadable content will be available on PlayStation Store this coming Friday, June 29:
For those that have been following this saga since the beginning, this is not the first release date for the maps and content update. It is, however, the final one. We have completed testing on the global server and after many late nights, gallons of coffee and takeout dinners, we're ready to go tomorrow. The team down at Insomniac, as well as us here in SCEA PD, are really excited about this launch, and can't wait to get going with some of the best RFOM players on these new maps. Yes, these are global servers, so we'll be competing with our friends on either side of both oceans as well.
The downloadable content is expected to hit PSN in the early afternoon, and will include free content updates for global play, and several game updates. Also to be available will be two new online maps, purchasable at US$ 7.99 each on the PlayStation Store. Set your calendars, watches, and PlayStation 3s, folks - your patience is about to be rewarded.

I really dont know how true this is,sense its coming from a Playstation blog site(check link),but it seems to be true.If so,then 7.99 for each map(2) is CRAZY...the maps would have to be hella good to justify that price.Sheesh, guess Sony really wasnt lieng when they said the downloadable content would make up for PSN being free.
