Responses to Super Mario Galaxy GOTY Damage Control

The only thing I can say is look at what game is winning the vote currently for GOTY. That's the one that should really count. Who cares about the editor choice. The user choice is where it's at.

Reread what you just typed. The true GOTY should be decided by the power of a vote by end users. If you notice that even though Halo 3 sold millions upon millions of copies, Crysis is in the lead and it sold fraction of that number. Technically there should be ALOT more votes for SMG and Halo 3 is it was truly a great game. Crysis is winning and it didn't sell very well. Think about it. This means that most of the people who bought Crysis loved it enough to proclaim it GOTY.

I love how you come to that conclusion. Crysis will win the user vote and that is the one people will respect in the end. It is funny how you ignore the vote when it doesn't show the outcome you like.

I didn't, you didn't, atleast 80 percent of system wars didn't. So, tell me, how many of the reveiwers played and beat all of the games on that list? All of them. Whos opinion, although opinions are never valued in an arguement if they are being passed off as facts like BOTH (not just you, but I am too) of us are doing, is more valid? One's thats played like 3 (30 percent) of the games on the list, or those that played all of them?Grodus5

They didn't? I sure thought they did. I mean 30 threads saying how it doesn't deserve 8.5 and having a fit sure sounds like the same thing that went on for TP and MP3.... You can stay in denial if you must...

Anyways, most of your points are valid, but some are pretty stupid if you ask me... Particularly the story one. But I agree, it deserved GOTY. It was an incredible game. :)

Get your fellow SMG fans to vote in the poll. If they are out there then it should be easy to get SMG to where it needs to be. As far as I'm concerned Crysis is GOTY and the numbers back me up. Can you claim the same?
