So what do we know about this game?

Summary of Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of Nintendo Games
• Familiarity with Nintendo game development process preferred
• Experience with Japanese game development methodologies, principals and environments. Experience successfully leading large groups of development staff
• Knowledge of all video game hardware and software, both past and present
• Solid experience with video game platforms and PC's
• Basic understanding of overall game development processes including art, animation, design, software engineering and programming required
• Strong proven leadership and organizational skills
• At least 7 years' game design related experience required
• Must have completed at least one production cycle leading to shipped where game directing was primary responsibility

i wonder if it's another nintendo franchise or a new IP

hopefully the latter .. retro are a great dev .. nintendo can make them into the next RARE (N64 era RARE ofc)

As long as it's not a Metroid game I'll be happy

They took pages right out of Rare's "How to kill a Nintendo franchise by doing the same exact thing over and over and over" book.

Plus I think Nintendo got sick of visiting them and telling them how to do the title, I doubt Nintendo wants to babysit them again.

I'm guessing that's not a new IP, rather, a Nintendo IP.

Though, it could be a new Nintendo IP.

That can only mean they will make a quick buck on a game where quality doesn't really matter, considering that they don't want too use any of their more valuable directors for it.

I would like to see them get a bigger staff anyways. They need to make more than just 1 game every couple of years.

I'm not being defensive, I could care less if it goes to the PC as long as I can still play it if it's good. I'm making a discussion because I thought that's what you do in System Wars.And the possibility doesn't remain because Nintendo owns Retro

Its wholly owned by Nintendo but I do think their could be a possibility because Nintendo made some PC games (reckon bad PC games) but still PC games, also Nintendo lets there companies do some crazy stuff like Brownie Brown is wholly owned by Nintendo aswell but the only games they made for Nintendo was Magical Vacation, Magical Starsign, and Mother 3 (in Conjuction with Hal Laboratory) But they made Sword of Mana and Heroes of Mana for Square Enix (even after being owned by Nintendo) and they are currently making Blue Dragon Plus for Mistwalker. You realize that games are deved via PC right? They don't make games with Wii's. All games are developed via a computer. Retro is owned by Nintendo and Nintendo isn't really making PC games.
