What a huge success this game is. Housemarque must be overwhelmed with happiness right now.

Amazing game. Can't believe I beat it already lol. Not because it was short, but because I was just so hooked onto it. Did you beat it yet?

Lol. Definitely one of the hardest games I played.

After playing New Pokemon Snap for 20 hours, I evolved.

@Zero_epyon: I don't have it yet. But i am playing RE8 on Hardcore and i can tell you that its pretty difficult. And for Souls games, i am too used to them. I don't find them difficult unless we're talking about depth 5 chalice dungeons in BB or a fromsoft game that has changed the playstyle to something i am not used to, which would be Sekiro.

I am actually curious about all this "Returnal is too hard" myself. I just don't see it approaching the savagery that was the first dlc of Doom Eternal on Nightmare.

It surely is interesting, reminds me of Metroid and the Souls games. I'll continue it after I'm done with RE8.

I feel like there's a Returnal thread every day since I came back on System Wars.

It looks like a great game sure but come on.

Honestly though, I might have a remedy for that: we should start suspending the users that are the ones that are spamming more than one thread. Maybe that will teach them if they make one thread, no need to make another one just for an accolades trailer when you could have just posted it in the one you already made.

I love these trailers I want sales numbers for this month to come out already...this game seems like a gamers game its not like fortnite or like movie game its a serious game like an arcade.

The solution we had before this please started slowing down was to have a sticky. Any thread made about the game after the sticky was created was locked on sight. Any bumped threads about that game was also locked.

@Zero_epyon: I totally forgot about stickies, it's been a while since we utilized that structure. I'm all in favor for bringing back stickies for major releases.

There's really no substance to threads like this. The only kinda discussion the TC is asking for is ridicule or self-congratulatory circle-jerk of his fanbase.

@jaydan: agreed, Returnal does look like a great time and congrats to Sony for it but a thread for everything about the game feels excessive.

And @NathanDrakeSwag: has two Returnal threads on the first page here. I feel like somebody needs to tone it down a bit.

Before Returnal release, no one thought it would be a smashing hit and getting this much attention is why a sticky was never brought up nor no one made a simple hype thread either and if we'd had one, it would have been consider sticky but since that's not the case, the thread doesn't need to be locked. Most of Returnal threads are indeed old and now, it's all about RE8.

It's because I think we all kinda forgot about stickies honestly, for years.

If we had stickies, we could have avoided the Cyberpunk takeover, TLoU2 one and so on.

Let's bring stickies back in style to curb those that insist on spamming all the time.

Congratulations to Housemarque on their amazing talents and success. Hopefully helps sony to invest more on diversity of genres.

Remember a few weeks ago when the anti-Sony cult was pushing the narrative that Sony was only making "too big to fail" games after they rejected a Days Gone 2 pitch. You had lemmings pretending they owned Sony consoles and actually cared deeply about Days Gone lol.

Fast forward to now and Sony has turned a rouguelike into a massive AAAE hit. Lemmings can't label this game a "movie" or "walking simulator" like they do Sony's other games they've never played. It's driving them nuts to see a hardcore game like this priced at $70 and exclusive to the PS5 doing so well.

Is Housemarque owned by Sony? If not, they better grab them cuz i see MS acquiring them just so they don't release 9/10 masterpieces for Sony. I would also like to see this dev creating a large budget title, with their style of course.

I just chhecked theres 100's of 0/10's on user reviews for returnal the game certainly not a 0 its playable its a game people are beating it and playing hundred of hours its not a 0 right? why is there over a 100 0 ratings on it for users?

It's not just that, emotional nerds ruin just about every piece of media by review bombing. Funny to say people care more about manipulating numbers in a tug-of-war game more than they care about the actual quality of a product.

I used to be a big poster on the IMDB forums, but those forums no longer exist because of all the toxic comic book nerds that infested the site during the peak of MCU vs. DCEU hysteria, that resulted in toxic forum behaviors and review bombing. Now no one gets to enjoy IMDB forums and I no longer have a dedicated cinema forum to go to anymore. Way to go nerds.

Whoever thinks that reviewers get paid to give high scores is freaking dumb. No offence. It's always the easy way out so as not to admit that a game is actually good.

Do sites related to Xbox, PS or Nintendo tend to score their respective console's games higher than the average? Definitely. Does it really affect the aggregation? No. Game is great, but probably not a 10. Lems are still trying to damage control this by talking about price and paid reviews. That's pretty much it.
