Gears 2 hands down. Just like last year when it dominated it. I'm sorry but it's a joke, people go about calling Halo 3 mediocre yet that alone beat Resistence hands down, it's not even questioned by anyone but the blindest of fanboys.

Resistence wasn't an amazing shooter, it was average at best. Comparing the two is a joke. Unless R2 has stepped it up X100 or gears has suddenly gone down the drain and been ruined, it's not going to have a leg to stand on.

I'm not a 360 fanboy, bu you can't use the 60 player online MP and 8 player coop to prove that Resistance 2 is better than Gears 2. More=/=better. Gears 2's 10 player online MP might kick the crap out of 60 player Resistance MP. But then again, it might be the other way around.

just like there is now theres more people with a 360 than a ps3 unfortunatly :( so i dont think its showing a prefrence there is just a bigger market

More 360's sold than PS3's = consumers showing a preference... with respect to the question posed in this thread's topic, I've been fortunate enough to have both PS3 and xbox360's so I'm looking forward to enjoying both ...

Yeah and why did it get GOTY? Please there was no competition when gears was released besides launch titles. U really think gears will get GOTY this time around? I dont think so, especially with GTA4 and MGS4 dueling out that right for GOTY. Unless gears 2 can pull off an epic story to go with the awesome gameplay, it will prolly have a chance but I doubt it since the story in the first gears was not impressive at all. Heck even Uncharted had a longer single player, maybe not by much but atleast the story in Uncharted was pretty damn good for a short game.

Both games are shaping up nicely and probably will be great games... having only a PS3 & PC, am more hyped for Resistance2 and once Geow2 is released on PC i'll surely get the game..

The smaller the matches, the more personal. I like my matches like that.

Im going to get Gears 2, ive been playing Gears alot and it is nice knowing that it came out a while ago and im still having fun playing it so knowing me ill be getting the same amazing expierence with Gears 2. Gotta love the Cole Train!

its been said already that for the big online modes, teams will be sub-diveded in smaller ones, each with an individual task to do... so though having lots of people online in one game, its still going to be more on a smaller group/personal thing..

Surely its something interesting and RFOM2 is one game am looking forward to...
