Ridge Racer for Vita has just 3 tracks, 5 cars, 30FPS?!

I like Ridge Racer. It's a guilty pleasure. And I was actually thinking of getting the next game. That is, until I heard what madness Namco Bandai is pulling.

When the game goes on sale Dec. 17, it will come with only three tracks and five cars. That's it.

The three tracks are Harborline 765, Highland Cliffs, and Southbay Docks. All three of the tracks can be raced in reverse, and they have all appeared in previousRidge Racergames.

Namco Bandai will release more tracks in the future—more cars, too. If that wasn't bad enough, the game will run at 30 frames per second.

Even though Ridge Racerisone of the cheaper Vita games, and even though I thought I could see myself playingit on the Vita, I can't see myselfbuyingit.

It'll be on sale for around $35, I think.

They could possibly release other tracks and cars further down the line for free but I really don't see why they wouldn't just ship them on-disc.

It's called a cash grab. A quick rush job of a game with no real value that exists solely to get launch game money.People who buy launch system will buy almost anything at launch.

Ridge Racer was my favourite game for the PSP. They should add more content to the Vita version.
