Rise of the Tomb Raider: E3 Teaser Trailer

Amazing trailer, can't wait for E3,loved the reboot, ill pick this up on release for Xbox One then get it on the cheap years later on pc.

My hype is slowly growing for this one. I just don't know if I should pick it up for the X1 or wait for the PC/PS4 versions and get the definitive edition on one of those with all the dlc included. As of now my backlog is large enough to justify me waiting a year and get it when it's cheaper anyways. We'll see when it's released if I feel it's a must have right then or if it is a game I can wait on.

Cool trailer and I can't wait to see some gameplay though.

So basically Uncharted? which is good and bad depending on your view.

I do too. I still play the PC version of Tomb Raider from time to time. I really like it a lot. I hope the PC version of this new one won't be delayed too long.

Well the first one was pretty much uncharted cover based puzzle solving clone, From the trailer it looks more of the same. Are you seriously telling me you don't see the similarities between Tomb Raider and Uncharted? Personally I hope they go back to full on PS1 era tomb raider and not the block buster m*therf*ckery of Uncharted.

I agree that the reboot took a hell of a lot from Uncharted. I mean, not that Uncharted was doing anything original, but the direction, well, it's certainly very same-y.

And I don't see how that trailer can tell you the game is gonna be hella similar. It's just a teaser of Lara doing what she always does. Not to mention the developers have already talked about how many things they're gonna change about this one. I just hope they can pull it off.

And for them to go back to old school Tomb Raider, means the franchise will remain dead. Nobody cared for the franchise anymore. It went on and on, and it got stale beyond belief. After Underworld, it was pretty much dead. The reboot revitalized the franchise, and I hope they continue making it better.

It's not even just that it's a shitty teaser, it's the part where she's climbing something and shit is breaking around her. I've had 3 uncharted games and the last tomb raider of this shit, that crap is lame. Like mega lame. Super fighting Lamebot.

Imagine the highway chase scene in Bad Boys 2. The Jamaicans decide not to drop the beats on top of Will and Martin. You wanna neuter Bad Boys, champ?

That trailer is absolutely dumb. It doesn't get you excited for the game at all. Compare it to the trailer of Fallout and they did a half ass job. When did we start getting trailers for box art?

The Fallout trailer is actually pretty bad when you taken into account that the Fallout 3 reveal did the exact same thing, significantly better.

The Fallout 4 Trailer shows a lot more of the game than what the Tomb Raider trailer showed. That trailer get you excited to see more of the game. What feeling do you get from watching the Tomb Raider trailer?

That's fair, even in contrast to Fallout 3 it shows more of a game. But the point of each trailer I'd actually lean towards Fallout 3. The black humor worked better with the musical choice and given the muted nature of the majority of that trailer, so the final image of enclave dude and the war line has more of an impact. More or less they let the rest of it speak for itself, Fallout 4 in comparison is a bit more generic in what it shows. More overproduced.

As for the Tomb Raider tease? I think it's shit. On top of being no gameplay, it doesn't actually get anything across+it shows one of the sequences I find super lame about Uncharted styled games.

Well I don't even remember Fallout 3 first trailer so I can't comment of that. I was comparing the trailers that we just recently seen for this gen.

I bet we'll see quite a bit of gameplay at E3. It actually is looking to be a pretty good one this year, if you ask me.

Remember these words. Timed exclusive doesn't mean PS4. Yoshida can't even confirm if it is coming. His response was "I'd like to see it on PS4".

@SolidGame_basic: ND delayed U4 because they were scared of being outclassed by RotTR during the holidays. Well, at least we know U4 can't be worse than U3. Hopefully..
