Thats cus you suck at it
No. It's costly, boring and gets old if you don't buy new songs, which are a waste of money because you get bored of those and buy new ones.
WOW, I don't spend my whole life playing games like you do obviously. Rock Band doesnt get boring if you dont play it all the time and you can actually invite some friends over to play with you.

Um I don't play games all the time. I have a job and school to deal with. Rock Band gets boring. It's expensive and not really worth it if you're going to be playing on occasion and only with friends.
That's just plain stupid, I bought the first one THIS YEAR.W1NGMAN-
Uhh this is how it's been for a while with Harmonix. They release a new game for the respective franchise they are working on each year. It's nothing new. Also, it's not like you can't re-use your guitar/drums/mic

Games are costly, and are a waste of money because you get bored of them and buy new ones.
... Oh wait.
There is no distinction between Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2 DLC. Any DLC you've previously downloaded will instantly work with Rock Band 2 and all DLC will continue to work with the original game from here and into eternity.
This is son iwn right here
If GH World Tour doesnt have this then Rock Band 2 wins for sure
What I'm wondering though is what happens to the songs on the RB1 disc. Will they be in 2 also? Not like a bluray disc doesn't have room for the old songs as well. Having to switch for the old songs would be a pain.[QUOTE="DrCortex"][QUOTE="osbassgordo"][QUOTE="DrCortex"]Rock Band is kind of lame.mbrockway

Hence why I buy games once in a blue moon.
Thanks. However, the games I do buy, I hardly get bored with. Consolites do that whole "move on after a month" thing.

That's a nice analysis.
Btw, Rock Band 2 is gonna suck.
GH World Tour >>> Rock Band 2.

Yeah I bought the first one this yeah and I love it but I really don't want to buya new guitar set
And the first is not even out in many parts of Europe yet and will costs roughly twice as much when it does arrive.ZimpanX
I know yeah, by the time 2 comes out they'll have 3 out in America, it's pathetic treatment if you ask me, it comes 8 months late and costs twice as much, AND they sell timed exclusivity to MS, way to go EA, don't make it look like you want money too much....
I can't wait till someone comes out with a single music/instrument game and just adds songs or lets you upload your own on consoles. I'd like to kill off these series that just milk consumers year after year.
Too bad, I thought Rock Band was going to be different than Guitar Hero. Now we're gonna have like 5 instrument games this year including all the stupid Guitar Hero spinoffs...

Sorry, what's this Rock Band you speak of? I've, I've, never seen it in store..?
Seriously, I couldn't give a rats a$$ about Rock Band, EA can't even get off there rears to release the Game in the Asia Pacific. Pathetic.
[QUOTE="mingo123"]this is probably the biggest milkage ive ever seen, Guitar Hero 1, 2, 3, Aerosh*t, 4, Rock band, rock band 2.....jebus, anything related to rock sells so well, its sad
Taalon
First Guitar Hero was released in 2006 and in 2008 we already have 4 of them, and the 5th one might be out this year as well
Halo was first released in 2002, after that there have been only 2 Halo's in 5 years, Halo Wars is different game, but just uses Halo name and is based in halo world

ok ok add that, infact add halo 4 as well, Guitar Hero is still major milkagec ompared to halo, 5 games in 2 years>5 games in 6 years milkage wise

Wow, already?
I thought this was EAs maiden product where they are going to support it for the long run and get money of DLC.:?

Halo 2 continued the story, added more stuff especially online multiplayer, halo 3 took the multiplayer to next level, added 4 player single player coop, more weapons, saved films, forge, screenshot capturing, halo wars is almost completely different game genre wise, deffo not the same game and it deffo hasnt been released every 6 months life guitar hero
[QUOTE="mingo123"]ok ok add that, infact add halo 4 as well, Guitar Hero is still major milkagecompared to halo, 5 games in 6 years>5 games in 2 years

Wow this is ridiculous. I'm definitely no fan of Halo but Guitar Hero is the king of milkage, along with Tony Hawk. Halo changes much more with each game and they come out every few years. Guitar Hero barely changes at all, it'll add some new features but it'll basically be the same. It's going the exact same route the Tony Hawk series did.
And lol @ new songs. They could just add them as DLC instead of making you purchase an entire new game...
We're gonna get Guitar Hero WT, Aerosmith, Metallica, Rock Band 2, and Rock Band 1 in Europe all in the next year. And I'll bet good money that there will be spinoffs to WT, a new Guitar Hero, and Rock Band 3 ready for next fall. They'll add some small new feature in and everyone will eat it up.

First Guitar Hero was released in 2005. Then Guitar Hero 2 in 2006. Then Encore: Rock the 80s and GH3 in 07, and three games in 08 (On Tour, Aerosmith, and World Tour).
I blame Activision, the American Capcom when it comes to milking a franchise.
Im glad all the old peripherals work, but i can see a lot of europeans being extremely annoyed if they released rockband 2 only 4 months after the first one was released for an insane price, and then upgrade the instruments massively.
Ill be buying the game on its own i think. No more plastic **** to fill my room.
