was going to post this myself after reading about it on gamepro.
to the cows- man up and accept that the ps3 has had a long learning curve compared to 360. accept that, for the most part, 360 and ps3 will be very similar graphics-wise.
to the lems- while the 360 is still top dog (obviously excluding the wii) right now, in a couple years you'll see a few huge games that take advantage of blu-ray storage that couldn't be done on 360. so far, the 360 has been the most enjoyable system i've ever owned, but the ps3 has got some potential.
hey renegade. i was just wondering if those predictions came true or not in your sig? i know they did in the US but wasn't too sure about worldwide.Hihatrider87what are you talking about they didnt come true in the US. 360 outsold the PS3 during the holidays.
This really isn't that big a deal.
The 360 version was buggy and laggy in October. So it was bound to get delayed anyway. They are developing the game for two very different platforms, and while one is historically easier to develop for, the other is fairly new and they are getting the kinks worked out.
Regardless, I believe GTA4 would have been delayed if it was exclusive on EITHER system. The delay does not mean one game will be better, and it's really just news fanboys are making a big deal about.
This has been beaten to death,
the ps3 is hard to program for, so was the ps2, thanks for saying nothing and making a point to post it several times :)
Also,
so...you know...to be sure...when did the World shift, and a "contributing factor" start meaning "THE ENTIRE PROBLEM"?
They should have released it on the 360 without delaying it for everybody. The cows are use to waiting anyway.Bigboi500
they had a deal to release the game at the same time of the competitors console.

That much is true but it also means that 360 owners got strung up by bureaucratic red tape because of it.cough*brawl*cough
cough*too human*cough
The interview said it was a contributor, but if you read carefully (something I don't think many people do here anyways):
"We wanted the time, and I think we made the right choice. It was very difficult to make the choice because everybody wanted it. But we thought, you know, what with that extra bit of time, it's just going to be that much betterand there will be more systems out."
The GTA IV they had in October was nowhere near the current build they just tested. A proof of it is reading the new details unveiled post-October previews.
Troll moar, please.
[QUOTE="-Renegade"]If they would have just developed the game on PS3 only like all the rest this delay would have never happened.jet052006
Thats not neccesarily true, even some of the PS3s top exclusives are being delayed, take MGS4, LBP, Haze, etc.. for examples.
And ? How many of the 360 excluisves have been delayed? Fable 2 doesnt even have a solid release date. To Human was suppose to come out at the end of 2006 and where the hell is Alan Wake? The 360 has had more then its fair share of delays.
I thought everyone that either owns both a PS3 and a 360 or just a 360 already knew this, I mean come-on folks it was playable way back in the spring of last year at E3 on the 360. The only people who never suspected this or who would not fess up was the guys that only own the PS3.
The playable E3 version did not run that great but that was nothing that 6-7 months of polish could not have fixed, meanwhile 75% of the population of SW spent the last 10 months saying why is there not so much as one single screenshot for GTAIV on PS3.
