Yeah after 8 months of PC gamers crying that they want it instead of just simply buying a ps3 or a 360 and enjoying the game, along with all the other dozens of games they petition to get PC ports of.

For claiming that the PC is the very epitome of gaming they sure do complain a lot about wanting console ports of games.

No, it was people being dumb and turning the settings far beyond acceptable levels and some patches smoothed out the hardware usage.  Example: Turning the draw distance over 40 or 50 (out of 100) does nothing to enhance the picture...but drains resources.  People then cried that wasn't "maxing it out" when it provided no benifit at all.   Same goes for car density...turning to 100 is dumb anyways, because the AI just makes a times square traffic jam

Ran fine on mine... 

Mine ran fine too, on a terrible cpu as well.  Finished it before any patches came out

Yeah... no prob with a Quad core. If I remember I had a Q6600.
