RPG fans raging at Namco Bandai! Tales creators

Ever since Namco Japan announced the 2 new Tales games going to PS3 with Tales of Graces going to be ported to PS3 ( Originaly on Wii ) and a new Tales game which hasnt been named yet Exclusive to PS3 (only teaser site is now officially open ) Tales fans and RPG fans in general have gone wild :P everywhere in every gaming site! and lets be honet here Namco deserve this! tons or more like hundreds of daily posts been posted on Namcos offical facebook page ever since the annoucments to the point that Namco actually posted a reply regrarding the big demand and knowing what they want but they still put the " No plans yet " in there. Not even that only but RPG fans now have turned to Sony and put on a request on Sony's officialy Share reuest blog for them to publish the games outside of Japan for all PS3 owners outside of Japan. in less than 5 days the votes made it to over 1000+ votes and incrasing like crazy! What do you think of Namco this gen? do they even know what their doing anymore?

They made Soul Calibur, Galaga, and Pacman

Other than that they made what you may refer to as poo

The effort it would take to localize vesperia probably isn't worth it. Late ports don't generally do well.

Yeah, Namco has made some terrible decisions this gen. I know Tales games don't sell well here, but still, they're not even putting in an effort. They should at least allow some other publisher to release them, like Atlus or something. But seems they're too busy pumping millions to take on Uncharted to do anything.

E.g. Demon's Souls was published by SCEJ in Japan, Atlus in the US and Bamco in PAL.

Um, not the most interesting news to be honest. Namco really hasn't done much that gets my attention for a while. Please don't give it to NIS though!

They can do it like what happened to Demon Souls, Sony allowed Atlus to publish it in US eevn tho Demon Souls was Sonys game. NAmco need to let go and let someone else get the rights and localize them seriously -_-

So there is 3 possibilities, they destroy your IP, they don't change its status or they make it popular? I suspose with tales even the first option wouldn't be a big deal :P

A lot of bad decisions this gen. But other than that, not a bad company.

Well while I normally hate JRPG's I love the Tales of games. Symphonia is my favorite game ever actually, Vesperia I've had for more than a years and I'm at the last boss but I can't beat him and don't feel like grinding, and I pick up Phantasia every now and then but I'm only like half way through. It's gonna suck if they don't localize the new one because the concept art looks amazing. While we're on the subject of Namco Bandai though Soul Calibur 5 plz.

It looks very pretty on the PS3. Not that it necessarily looks bad on the Wii. But it's a strong improvement.

While thats tempting, I was sold on the PS3 version when I heard there was going to be an added chapter to the game that takes place in the future after the initial adventure.

Can't say Namco doesn't deserve all the hate. Just tell us already. Regardless I'm importing Graces for the PS3 and the new one as well. Good practice for Japanese :lol:

While it does seem like Namco needs to localize more games, I'll say it again. Namco can't localize every Tales game. The fanbase is just too small for it to be financially feasible.

Try been a Tales fan in PAL areas. When get even less Tales release then the US.

There is too many uniquetales games spread across too many systems to expect them to make any good amount of money though. If they made less they would have a better chance at growing the franchise imo.

Tales games are made for Japan. Maybe Japanese sales are enough to warrant the high game output, but the west isn't? Definitely on the multiplat though. What they're doing now is a scheme to get people to rebuy games in order to increase profits.

It would make sense to let other companies localize the games.
