I'm just going to say it, just flat out;
I haven't had a problem with mine, I'm having one of the best gaming experiences of my life with the 360, and I really don't give a rat's ass.
Kinda like my relationship with my PS2, except it actually DID kick the bucket on me multiple times. Yet, I still adored it.
in before "this is the only argument cows got "linkin_guy109
It's, so far, the only real legitimate "argument" of this gen.
Games? Well, compare the Year 1 360 titles with the Year 1 Ps3 titles, you'll be depressed, they are even.
your only argument is that our games are delayed. which really.. doesnt effect me. i own all consoles.. and my xbox is collecting dust... im a shemmermitow (sheep + hermit + cow + lemming) :D-HalleR-
oh no i think you misunderstood what i said, i wasnt the one who was saying that argument, i was just saying that i posted in the topic before someone brought up that argument ;)
I like it when people talk about taking care of the system is the issue. I'm very anal retentive about taking care of eletronics especially ones I know have issues. It has nothing to do with the care, although I'm sure care, or lack there of, can speed up the process. It doesn't matter how much space you give it, the cool area you keep around it, the filtering/removal of dust that you strive to do.
Not one of those things fixes the damn hardware issue each one comes built with. You can care all you want, but it won't fix actual design issues. That fact that I've dealt with it twice is a complete joke, made only worse by the simple fact that even when I get it back again (whether I try to trade it in for a new one or take the already "fixed" refurb) I'll still need to worry about it breaking again, b/c they haven't fixed their piss poor design.
The RRoD is unacceptable, and their current "fix" for it is a smack in the face. MS might have a damn good library under their belt, but with this mentality of how they treat their user base... I hope they lose to Sony and Nintendo.

Hell yeah it's unacceptable. I should be playing Omega 5 or Oblivion or Stranglehold or something right now, but no, instead my 360 is somewhere in Texas getting "fixed". That is not something I am happy about. Still, if you let that keep you from getting a 360, you're missing out. Yeah the two weeks now I've been without a 360 have been disappointing, but the six months of awesome games I had before it died... it's worth it.Hoffgod
Microsoft are fixing the problem, the failure rate on the newer models is down to 5% I believe, and I hear they are working on a new 45nm chip.
Okay so what, the 360 may break down a lot, its still a better console than the PS3 regardless.
Ive been waiting well over a week for a coffin from MS for my RRODed 360.
Yes it bites, I hate it, but the 360 is still the best console currently.

Totally off topic, but when I looked at the handhelds you owned, and realized I had all those PLUS the Micro GBA...I felt like Miyamoto's gimp.

Which fully explains the majority of people that still have working 360's. I find it funny that the only people that find it 'unacceptable' usually are the ones that continue to make up stories implying every 360 is effected...

LoL.And I thought going from the GB to GBP was bad :P
Still..... If I saw a very cheap Micro i'd probably jump at the opportunity tobuy it....
It's not a problem for those of us with 360's that work perfectly.Ghost_Dub
QFT i have an 6 month old elite, and an pro launch 360 neither have had problems, and they have fixed the problem the cows want you to believe that if sony had this type of problem it would be fixed within a day or the magical ps3 would fix it self upon the flipping of a switch at sony HQ.
microsoft had to find out what was wrong the reason for that problem and then fix it that takes time.

MS should have never put it on the shelf with such a large issue to begin with. The "time" obviously wasn't spent at the right time, as in before it launched. Instead of actually accurately testing the machines the user base did it for them. Pathetic.

exactly, I am very careful with my 360, and have had no problems in two yeas of ownership, and the games, oh man, so many great games, its hard to keep up, I still do not have Boishock, dead rising, Halo 3, and tons others, I am playing through Blue Dragon, and Mass Effect, its gonna be a while before I NEED another game to fill my small amount of free time

Are you saying you would rather have and not be able to play a broken console than having a working one and being able to play games?? if so you are not a true gamer imo
and to be honest all my friends and even my cousin who own 360s have never experienced RRoD so i dunno it must not be as wide spread as the fanboys would have everyone believe . . . but in saying that i porbably will never purchase a 360 unless they mannage to eraticate RRoD completely. . .but as its going i can get the same games on my soon to be completed PC:D

which i dont believe in the least, Ive never had a problem and many people i know whom have one have NEVER had a problem, its simple fact 33% failure rate is a lie, and a good 70% of people posting on forums about it are liars.
the ps2's DRE was just as numerous as the 360 RROD yet no one mentions that as a problem, and it took a class action lawsuit and years before sony started fixing them for free and i dont believe EVER reimbursed any one for having to pay to fix the DRE issues.

Thats a fact, I went through three PS2's and I just bought new ones, then I bought an Xbox, and now a 360, never had RROD

Do you have an actual number to counter than supposedly made up one? And even more is it benficial to your statements to follow one supposedly made up value by another one? Please. :|
I never even stated it was that percentage to begin with.
And why are we talking about the PS2, does that some how make it all better that the Xbox 360 has major issues? No. It's a decent attempt to reflect the damage to another issue, but that's nothing more than sweeping the current issue under the rug.

What is the difference? Not playing the console because its broken, or not playing the console because it has no games? If I had a PS3 its just as good as being broken, because I would never play it because of the lack of games.....
RRoD is a better thing for me infact, gives me a good break from gaming :)

yeah well to me it sounded like an unnecessary jab at the PS3 which surprisingly enough has games. . . but ok i see where your coming from if you mean specificly it has no games that interest you personally if your talking no games in general i will have to say your a fanboy. . .
I meant me personally, the PS3 has no games which I would like. (Although I do hear heaps of my friends and people on numerous forums complain about the PS3 having crappy games)
So for me and many other people there is no difference between having a console sitting in your house which you do not play because of lack of games (PS3), or having a broken console sitting in your house which you cannot play (360)......
I agree onley reason I don't have a 360 yetJangoWuzHere
Same here. I will probably get one when the "Jasper" chip arrives.
Whenever the topic of RRoD is brought up, lemmings simply dismiss it by claiming Microsoft fix it for free. This is no excuse to disregard a clearly big problem. Sure, it's good that they fix it, and especially for free, but this shouldn't happen at all. Being the biggest technology company these days, you would expect them to have faultless hardware - but RRoD is very common, with people being up to their fifth Xbox 360 in some cases. It just shouldn't be happening, and isn't a good excuse to disregard to isue with.TaalonHad Sony not taught me that crap quality systems are worth the trouble if the software is good enough maybe I too would climb up on my high horse and act like this is a big deal.
