im not saying its not coming....I hope it does...but im sayin as of right now its going nowhere. Maybe sony still wont bring it back until their next console because of all theyve said about rumble thus far and dont want to look weak on their beliefs. You never know....but now would still a good time to do it since its still so early in the systems life. Hopefully they replace them for free for current ps3 owners. (doubtful)

yeah if they make us pay for them from scratch and not replace them or atleast give a discount towards one, i'll sit back and be thankful i didnt buy any extra controllers. Only got one. I'll just trade it in at ebgames or something if thats the case lol. Would still stink, but rumble is better than no rumble.

It could very well just mean that future versions of PS2 controllers (dual shock) will now carry an Immersion license which tenders some of the revenues back to Immersion.

Immersion is the winner here, not Sony. Now they get a piece of the pie with every Sony-developed and rumble enabled controller sold.

Jumping to conclusions like this is how silly rumors start and fans end up disappointed. Everyone hold on to your knickers until a PS3, rumble-enabled controller is announced.

so they goin to wait another 7 to 8 years till ps4 comes out? i doubt it..the only reason why they didnt put rumble into the ps3 controller is because they were havin problem with immersion but now they reach agreement..it be really soon..its not to late ..the ps3 just launched 3 month ago..I hope sony will put it in right away..and i really dont care about replacing my controllers with rumble..its my fault that im a early adopter..i only have one controller and i wouldnt even care if i did own 2 ps3 controllers right now..i jus want rumble back..lol.....

It was considered last gen because they were getting sued. Now that they came to an agreement Sony will soon claim that MSFT and Nintendo ripped it off from them!

dont be a fool...every sane gamer knows rumble is cool. Phil Harrison is an idiot but that doesnt make me dislike the PS3 its still a great system and would be even greater if they convert back to rumble.

honestly this news piss's me off and makes me happy at the same time...... Now I gotta go spend what ? $70 bucks ? for a controller ? if a regular sixaxis cost 50, how much is one with rumble gonna cost now ?

This sucks but its good for the long run, but I feel ripped at the same time.

So the core didn't give gamers that didn't have the money a choice? your logic fails.

Plus alot of Xbox gamers actually liked the Duke controller, and you weren't forced into buying it to recive a feature that wasn't in it.

Hypocritical Cow Logic

Before: Motion sensing is last gen.
After: Tilt is much better then rumble it can add new gameplay features

Before: Rumble is last gen and is not needed. Its not important to games
After: Lemmings and sheep have been owned we have rumble now too. In your face

95% of cows on this forum have been owned. But as for the other 5% celebrate with me! Yeah :D

Hell I always though Rumble causes nerve damage, rumble distracts from the gaming experience, and cows turn rumble off when playing PS2 :roll:

the controller-s was made to improve upon the original controller which was crappy for most peoples hands and had terrible button layouts. They released it as an improvement. Just what sony is going to do IF they're putting rumble back in the sixaxis, period. theres no arguing this
