By below I mean less than 200. What's the point of getting arcade if you still need to fork out 40-60 bucks for a decently sized HDD?

I bet they'd release the pro bundle at the Arcade's price if anything, and drop the Arcade down $50 or so. I did read an article where MS is supposed to be dropping the Elite bundle, and just selling all the other stuff at a cheaper price I think.

I agree with you on the pricings for the arcade and pro, and I too read that article about the dicontinuation of the elite so I think its very possible that the Elite will go down to $299.99

That would piss me off since I got one 5 months ago. I'd also be a little worried that they'd anounce a new system as well. I'm going broke from this generation.

If they made the sku with the HDD $200 then I'd probably finally have a reason to get a 360. IMO, my PS3 was worth the money but a 360 at the current price isn't worth it (especially considering how likely it is to break).

i think ms has their finger on the price drop trigger and if sony drop the price ms can easily pull that trigger
