@Legend002: Actually he says it worst. He believes you play Quantum Break on a non Windows box running a 7770 GPU. He fails to see what Microsoft is doing and wants to live in the past. He believes you can build a PC that can play Quantum Break and future Forza games (that will require Windows 10/Direct x 12), have the same features, size, noise, easy of use as an Xbox One for the same price. He is talking rubbish, how do I know this? because if it was true I'd replace my Xbox One with such a machine. Why because I'm not a fanatic fanboy unlike him.

A $500 PC destroys a Xbone and online is free. Not to mention other benefit such as real exclusives and a more diverse library. You should replace your Xbone because such PC is possible.

@Legend002: Prove it

A solution that

Fits in the same place as an Xbox One (I have no other space), Is the same size

Does not over heat by being in same place as an Xbox One

Is no louder than an Xbox One

Is as easy to use from a menu system view with a controller

Can snap TV to the side using voice commands

Can play Windows 10 games with Directx 12 and full feature set

Can perform games better than Xbox One (especially new ones) significantly

for $500 (or uk equivilant)

and I will replace my Xbox One with the solution you provide. Infact If I can do 6 out of 7 things I'll replace it.

Most PCs aren't.

Is as easy to use from a menu system view with a controller

Steam

Can snap TV to the side using voice commands

Kinect is on PC

Can play Windows 10 games with Directx 12 and full feature set

Yup

Can perform games better than Xbox One (especially new ones) significantly

for $500 (or uk equivilant)

It's like console newbs are still believing in old myths and fairy tales.

The only way to play old systems is on an old TV :p

I have an old 27 inch TV I use for my old systems.

D'oh ! Of course, new TVs don't have RGB or Scart :P

My new TV has 2 scart attachments, VGA, 2 HDMI, S-video and RGB

@Legend002: You have provided zero proof or examples.

Xbox One size 33cm x 27cm x 7.9 cm

ATX case 22.9 x 51.3 x 47.1

First point you made is wrong,

How will I be able to play Quantum Break on steam?

Kinect adds $150+ to cost yet you can keep it under $500

I work in IT you put a SFF PC with a decent graphics card under load with components costing less than $500 ($350 with Kinect) and it will be loader than Xbox One easily.

Do you have old consoles hooked up to them ? And how do non-HD games look on an 1080p TV ?

@Legend002: Forgot to mention a Xbox One is $300 without Kinect. You cant build the same with $500 never mind $300.

Windows 10 is being given free dude, and the 7770 is a GCN GPU which is DX12 capable just like the xbox one,and in fact like i told Ronvalecia the 7770 actually out perform the xbox one in basically all multiplatforms games and some games that were xbox one exclusive first like Ryse and Dead Rising 3 as well.

No i am not and you can get a cheap PC now that will be close to the xbox one in price and beat it performance wise, and you will not have to pay for online play which save you $60 a year.

The xbox one is freaking huge for a console,so i am surprise to see you use the space excuse, even more the "" I have no other space"' crap move from your closet to a real room dude.

I don't see many PC over heating specially with those cases that allow a ton of air flow.

My PC isn't louder than the xbox one,and is considerably quieter than my ps4 as well.

If you can't use windows easy to use interface then you are the problem.

My TV does that is call picture and picture and allow me to change and watch different outputs on my TV at the same time.,not to mention apps like Kodi which are non existent on xbox one,and for voice commands all you need is a mic.

My PC does that to and windows 10 cost me nothing, since i had 7 already and my GPU is R270 which is DX12 ready just like the 7770 as well or R250X which is the refresh of the 7770.

Since your are talking about things PC need to do vs what you have on xbox, for a little more it doesn't have to beat it by miles,in fact a computer build with a $98 dollar 750ti would run your games on 1080p and with better settings than the xbox one at better frames, even beat the PS4 in several games.

For $500...um lest see.

https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

$535 but that is because i chose a R380 4GB GPU,which would chew and spit the xbox one and PS4.

https://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/

But change it for a more affordable R370 which would still beat the xbox one with ease and you get $494..

I have a Gamecube hooked up to it and it's ok as long as you can get used to 4.3 aspect on a wide screen TV, to be fair the picture quality isn't as good as using an old CRT.

but i don't have a CRT TV anymore and i just have to play eternal darkness.

Completely agree, the Xbone was mid range when it released, pretty much any mid range PC sold now would probably outperform the Xbone.

Eternal Darkness is rad !!!!

Yeah, it's a shame I don't have my gamecube hooked up anymore. I'd love to play more Double Dash.

There really aren't that many games like Eternal Darkness anymore, I miss it. Closest thing I can think off is Amnesia or SOMA and how those games play with your mind when you see evil stuff.

@tormentos: Thanks for proving my point.

Your answer is to get a bigger PC than Xbox One and then find a different place for it. Then you claim the reason I cant do that is I live in a closet. My front room is pretty standard for a 3 bed semi in UK house and I have 2 TiVo boxes, a surround sounds sytem, Wii U, laptop charging points, multiple tablet charging points and a 50" TV.

Only then could you add components that run cool enough to limit noise and heat.

I'd also have to buy a different TV to allow picture in picture and even then I couldn't use voice commands to do so without spending even more money on a TV.

You then say the 7770 is Direct X 12 compatible which is true but doesn't run the directx 12 feature set and doesn't meet the minimum recommended requirements for Quantum Break

Your answer to getting Windows 10 is its free because I can magically get Windows 7/8 without having to pay for it.

Then you claim Windows 10 is as easy to use with a controller than the Xbox One GUI. Which while isn't far offer and could be acceptable.

Oh and an Xbox One is $300 not $500.

Oh and an Xbox One is $300 not $500.

Using as excuse that you have no space when the xbox one is huge is pathetic and show how you people will go through hoops to defend the console you love.

But i can and i also have a mic who doesn't this days is not like mic started yesterday.

Dude the 7770 is GCN just like the xbox one,in fact the xbox one doesn't support all complete DX12 features and that has being argue here, like i already told you a 7770 would beat the xbox one in basically every game DX12 will not change that, minimum recommended requirements mean crap if you actually believe that you need those minimum requirements when the xbox one has a GPU equivalent to a 7770 basically they you are blinder than i ever though possible.

Who doesn't have windows 7 now or 8.? Hell on the clone i linked there i included windows 10 if i left it out we are talking about $87 less which would bring that PC to $400 dollars pretty close to the xbox one price, but with a more powerful GPU which is the R370 which is more powerful than a 7870 and the PS4 as well.

Yeah but $60 mandatory for online play rise it to $360 when i can make that clone with $400 without buying windows, and by next year you have to spend $60 more, while on PC you save those.

So no you don't need an xbox one at all and for $40 more you can actually get a stronger PC,hell you get one PC stronger than the PS4 at that price.

@kwns said:

tormentos thinks everyone will buy a PS4 now, he must be not on youtube lately because most people are buying an xbox one for it. People who have already got a PC or going to buy one are getting it there.

No most people who own an xbox one are buying the game for it because up until a few weeks it was a total xbox exclusive,

It would be epic when NPD arrives and show the PS4 beating the xbox one again even with QB release just like it happen with Titanfall.

@tdkmillsy: If you are really that obvious to building a PC then just get the Alienware Alpha. It was on sale for $190 a while ago on Amazon and often drops top $300-$350.

You're missing something with your builds. @tdkmillsy asked for UK equivalent to $500 that means you need to add 20% tax, or lose 20% from your budget.

@tormentos: Prices quoted on American sites are tax free due to every state having different regulations, even I know that and I'm from the UK.

I told you PC 7770 is backed by powerful CPU and when it comes to heavy tessellated games (gameworks), 7770 suffers more than GCNs with 2 triangle per cycle rate.

@tormentos: Claiming the Xbox One is massive is just total crap.

I couldn't fit a standard form factor case in the same spot as I have the Xbox One.

Your the one clutching at straws as usual.

You cannot build a PC to meet my requirements and that is why I have an Xbox One. You have no arquement here because of that simple fact. The location in the front room is very important, I don't have picture in picture and most TV's do not have a mic facility to control the computer.

That wont stop you I'm sure but just know I'm laughing very hard at your feeble attempts.

I told you PC 7770 is backed by powerful CPU and when it comes to heavy tessellated games (gameworks), 7770 suffers more than GCNs with 2 triangle per cycle rate.

Yeah maybe that is why the xbox one hasn't being able to beat the 7770 in more than 2 years.

@tormentos: Prices quoted on American sites are tax free due to every state having different regulations, even I know that and I'm from the UK.

But on UK it does pay taxes and they were not accounted for the XBO..

Is bigger than the freaking original xbox which was huge, you clearly are to biased man the PS3 was huge i have no problem admitting it,the xbox one is huge and bigger of all xbox consoles.

So complaining about case size is a joke you can get some pretty small cases for PC.

No you have an xbox one because you are a blind LEMMING and there is nothing wrong with that, just don't freaking deny it,i build a PC for $400 that beat the xbox one without even trying.

Oh please stop the pathetic excuse dude, you don't need a mic for your TV is for your PC.

No what is funny is seeing you complain about PC cases size when the xbox one is freaking huge,irony...
