EA confirmed it too during one of their interviews saying they want the game to be on as many systems as possible ( most likely to compete with CoD ) but as a start for the franchise they will partner with MS and release it first on 3 systems, personally im too excited for that game, looked as fun as CoD.

Gears 1 and 3 are really really good.  Gears 2 was alright. Didn't bother with Judgement. This looks like another spin off

Used to be big in to Gears 3, had season pass and all. Got pissed when Epic announced Judgement and cut support for 3, and dont care for the series any more. Seriously, Judgment should have been an expansion pack.

Great franchise. People claiming they don't care really don't know what they're missing. The campaigns are as mundane as most shooters', but the multiplayer is some of the most satisfying, skill based action I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Great fun. Nothing is better than hitting a cross-map boomshot and netting a triple, or chainsawing an online foe in half on the brink of death.

personally wouldnt matter to me since i have the first 3 games on the 360. found the first game very underwhelming that i havent played it since the 3rd day i got the 360. 

but it would be a big deal to sw if gears comes out for any other system. lemmings keep losing their foothold on exclusive bragging rights (blame ms for their bad strategy of paying for 3rd party exclusives)
