I'd rather have a fictional city designed for great game play scenarios.

Real city's don't make the best video game locations.

But it's true, and they might be there since Rockstar cares very little about press negativity and all of the previous games were set in the past.

exactly, this has been done before, I prey that it is not in NY cause that is gonna be super lame.  They need somthing new to keep the whole series fresh.

It will be disappointing if they do it in another New York related city. They need to something completely new. Just like they did with san andreas. 32 million units strong.archerman04

Take-Two does have moral fiber(however limited), they don't want to upset potential customers and if you could actually destroy a building with an airplane then that would probably upset a lot of people and hender the sale of the game. If it is in New York then I would bet TT would add some sort of memorial as an easter egg of sorts. Just to get some free positive press.
