Rumor: Modern Warfare 3 Out 11/11/11

I keep my ear pressed to the internet at all times (I get killer neck cramps) and have been hearing whispers of a possible release date for Modern Warfare 3. It will apparently be out before Christmas. No doubt Activision will continue its trend of disrespecting the millions lost in World War 1 by releasing the title near remembrance day (11/11/11).

It appears that Infinity Ward are developing Modern Warfare 3 despite losing a lot of key staff. The company's founders -Jason West and Vince Zampella, left due to a dispute with Activision over 36 million USD in royalties. They took a large portion of their staff with them. Because of this, Infinity Ward are seeking outside help to aid in developing the game. Apparently Sledgehammer Games will be aiding them in the development of the single player campaign, and Raven Software will be helping with the multiplayer.

It seems that Call of Duty is well on its way to becoming the Madden of shooters. Can we really get too much of a good thing? I think so.

If this is true it's going to devastate the sales of Skyrim and Uncharted. Unfortunate :(

Holy crap, I just realized this is Remembrance Day.

I've been getting tired of Black Ops lately. So, I would not mind another great CoD game. I hope its out in November.

they delay skyrim in fear of going head to head, or rush skyrim to get sales....then i think i might just round up most of SW and try burning Bobby Kotick at the stake.

When Black Ops was announced, I remember repeatedly saying I was done with the series.

Then as more and more of it was shown I felt the need to but it and it has turned out to be my fav of the series.

I won't say there is no chance I will get a MW3, but I really have no faith in Infinity Ward at this point.

I know its going to sell the best, but in November Im going to be buying good games instead, like Uncharted 3, Mass Effect 3, SKYRIM, and any great game that I couldn't afford at the time. COD is the same sequel every year. Your paying activision to kill originality by milking a crap sequel year after year. COD 4 was great and I liked WaW, but mw2 was terrible and I gave cod its last chance with black ops witch was very average

I am already playing MW3, its called COD4, MW2, and black ops.

omg, if MW3 is coming out november, I think that there will definitely be some other games delayed into 2012 desparately trying to escape the massive losses of profit that the juggernaut will take from them. I have always liked COD, its alot of the same, but it is fun and addictive, but now, even I am drawing the line. Enough is enough. MW3, please just GTFO, so that good games like Uncharted 3 and Skyrim and ME3 have enough space to breath.

Uncharted 3 is November 1st. Skyrim releases the same day as MW3

now is fix... if its true that it comes out in 111111 then $$$ of Gears 3,UC3,Elder Skrolls,MassEffect 3 will all take a hit killzonexbox

Anyway I think this is the thing rumored to be a MW2 spin-off telling Ghost's story and reusing a bunch of assets. If that's true then hopefully some other game will come and snatch away the money-printing license, because that **** needs an enema.

I feel the same way too about and I bet more than 80% of the people that buy the COD games when they release near Remembrance Day don't care if Activision disrespects the soilders when they release the games at this time.

November will be one big month if thats true :shock:

You can pretty much bet on Nintendo throwing a big name first party game into November as well...and who knows what else could come along at E3.

Unless if a pokemon game,a 2d mario game,or anything that has the name wii on it comes outCOD will win for sure. I seriously want another sales juggenaut that can rival COD sales to come out in November so COD can finally be crushed. Anyway wouldn't all the games released that month destroy the next COD game's sales if we combine all their sales together when we get the sales numbers for these games sometime near the end of this year.

That might be because nearly all the CODs are very similar? If you find Black Ops boring then I'd recommend a new series, not another COD game.

Then go play MW2.
