I was hoping for at least as powerful as PS4 for $299. Or significantly more powerful than PS4 for $399. If it is at Xbox One level I hope they're selling it at $199. At that price I wouldn't think twice about buying NX. I jumped right in with Gamecube at that price and I'd do the same with NX.

A new Nintendo console at $199, are you out of your mind! (cue cheesy 90s jingle) But seriously, that's not happening. We'll be fortunate if it's only $299.

We were also told that in terms of raw power, the Nintendo NX would be similar to the Xbox One.

Wow. That is weak, really, really, weak. This thing is going to be about as powerful as a high end phone.

We all know that a big part of Nintendo’s focus in 2016 will be on the Nintendo NX, but we haven’t gotten much in terms of what the system is about and what it will offer yet. It appears that there will be some NX information starting to release in January, however.

Allegedly, Nintendo will be showcasing the Nintendo NX in January at CES 2016 in Las Vegas behind closed doors. Third party companies have been sent an invite to the showcase of the system, which appears to be an attempt to show them what it is capable of. Nintendo did something similar to this in2012 with the Wii U at CES.

We were also told that in terms of raw power, the Nintendo NX would be similar to the Xbox One. Our source also told us that Nintendo is looking at a lower, competitive price point to make the system more enticing. No mention was made on the “hybrid” system theory however.

Well there it is. As powerful as the bone. My hype just died guys! How about you? Biggest lump of coal in the stocking ever?

Samsung to Fab AMD "Zen" and "Arctic Islands" on its 14 nm FinFET Node

Something caused AMD to spill over to Samsung 's 14 nanometer FinFET from GlobalFoundries's 14 nanometer FinFET fab capability.

One problem with lower cost, XBO actually has a larger APU chip (i.e. 365 mm^2) than PS4's APU (i.e. 348 mm^2).

About half of XBO's APU chip is consumed by 32MB ESRAM. If Nintendo hasn't learnt from XBO's chip area wastage, Nintendo will be replicating XBO's results i.e. Sony has won this gen's console race .

External memory chip count for 8 GB system ram.

XBO: 16,

PS4: 16,

Article's author needs to think before they post..

In a console hardware price war, Sony can match Microsoft. For example http://gimmegimmegames.com/2015/05/new-ps4-299-at-frys-today-and-tomorrow-with-promo-code/

@Pharoahogc1: They need more power than that if they want third parties on board. And they desperately need third parties on board this time.

That should be the lesson for them from this gen. The money is in the library and the library cant just be exclusives.

May as well take that as a grain of salt. I once heard that before the Wii U's release that it would be as powerful as the Xbox 360. It turns out it was not the case, and I had to wonder where these rumors are coming from.

Regardless, Nintendo should not disappoint gamers two generations in a row.
