Rumor: Popular 360 exclusive game could no longer be exclusive

Gears of War 2 might no longer be a 360 exclusive.

I thought MS published Gears 2? Not that losing Gears 2 is all that big of a loss imo.

No surprise there... IMO it was bound to happen.

are u kiddin me that's the second best selling and most famous game in 360 that's a big loss which could only be outdone by halo 3 going pc.

Because Halo 1 and 2 going to the PC damn-near killed the Xbox, right?

Besides, we don't even know if this is PC content (and even if it is, it could just be proof-of-concept). It could just as easily be the Gears equivalent of ODST or new DLC.

They shouldnt waste their time, i bought geras for the PC on account of all the hype surrounding it. I figured it would atleast be worth my 30 dollars, but long behold i was dead wrong. Maybe its just not my style of third person shooters, but i didnt enjoy it one bit.

I do and all my friends do a graphic card that can play any game on pc I found for like $140 from a chinese computer store I go to.

it's really not that expensive I play gears, crysis, left4dead, mass effectand am getting left4dead 2,...

all these games I have on my pc.

This game on ps3 has 0.00% chance of ever happening :lol:

every exclusive lost is another potential PC customer and PS3/PC customer who will not switch to 360 it also means more people seeing the 360 as not needed which means loss of software and hardware sales.

if the game goes to pc it's multiplat and is an AAAE lost for X360 many PS3 users will buy it without having to purchase an xbox.

never say never its not up to microsoft it's the decision of epic games, most companies are going multiplat for more money and i would not be surprised to see gears 2 asgears 1 is multiplat already.

Am I the only person here who could care less if the game 'counts' as exclusive anymore? Rather, I am excited for the game itself.

it doesnt matter the game can be found on more than one system that means not exclusive many PS3/PC owners and PC owners dont need a 360 for the game.

the only way you can keep that as an AAAE is if the game turns out to be a completely new game like Gears ODST or something like that but being gears 2 it won't be exclusive everyone agrees to this and it's even written on the System Wars rules.

I'm skeptical. Could it not be that the demo reel was from the first Gears game? On top of that, Bleszinski stated that the reason for Gears 2's exclusivity was because the first didn't do so well on the PC. At this point in Gears 2's life it would be a waste to port it so late. It's already a good year old.Blargsman

Actually, it makes sense to port it now. Sales from the 360 iteration have probably slowed to a crawl. Porting to the PC will give them some additional sales.

Drakecool, you are making me laugh. You are so worked up about this exclusivity thing. I understand this is system wars but you really are fighting a battle which A) no one seems to care about, and B) something which is so meaningless over a year after release it doesn't really matter anymore anyway. + there is no prood yet so wait and see before getting yourself worked up into a frenzy.

Whew, I was worried for a sec. If it went to PS3 I'd care. I'd feel like we lost something. But going to PC doesn't matter in the slightest to me. I don't have a gaming PC, and neither do any of the cows I know personally.
