RUMOR- Rockstar goes Sony exclusive after GTAIV !

According to the latestcheat codeCentral Podcast, they mention that Rockstar has gone Sony Exclusive, and that their upcoming titles other than the ones already in production, will be some sort of a PS3 exclusive.

They start talking about it at around around 50:00 minute into the
podcast.

Titles known to be in development for the PS3 include

-New Rockstar PS3 franchise
-L.A. Noire
-Red Dead Revolver 2?

LA Noire is a PS3 exclusive. Rockstar has said nothing about going completely exclusive for Sony.myke2010

unless Sony is giving them 100s of millions of dollars for all those games and upcoming GTA games i cant see how Take 2 can afford those games only being on the PS3. I think once GTA4 sells like 5 million on the 360 and 5 million on the PS3they will realize that going multiplat is how to maximise your profit.

Even as a cow during PS1 and PS2 era, I still never liked Rockstar, only game I enjoyed from them was GTA3. So as a 360 owner, this doesn't bother me cause I most likely would've never bought La Noir or the other exclusives coming to PS3 from Rockstar.

this pretty much means the console wars are over once again and sony will once again riegn supreme. with rock star only making gta's and all their other games exclusive to ps3 there is no way 360 will continue to outsale ps3 on a monthly basis.. ms has lost once again and should just stop making consoles because they are gaining no ground and loosing tons of money to boot.. ff, gran t, mgs, gta, level 5, plus tons of other exclusives on one system :shock: 360 has no chance..

OMG! you're right! The 360 has sold fewer consoles than the ps3 and it has no games on it at all. mass Effect, halo3, bioshock, Fable 2 etc have all been cancelled and GTAIV was cancelled on the 360.

I highly doubt it. It goes against all common sense, PS3 is not big enough for a company like Rockstar to go exclusive for anyone. Guiltfeeder566

how about it having to do with decreased dev time and more games in the long run? they have never missed a gta release date until now. with them only focusing on one platform this won't happen in the future and they won't loose profits in a quarter due to game delays..

dude ps2 has over 160 games coming this year alone.. do you think its going to go from 160 in the last few months of this year alone to nothing next year? ps2 is still in demand and sony is shipping 10 million units in its 7th year. the console will easily last 10 years and ps3 will do the same as sony is the one manufacturing them and i think they know better then you how long they will ship their consoles.

Delays happen a lot in video games. Its foolish to blame a delay on a system being multi-plat. And it won't take away from sales as much as you have obviously led yourself to believe.

Wow :shock:160 games this year huh? So r there any GTA's, FF's, MGS's, or any new GOW's in that pile there? Face it after this year PS2 is going to the console graveyard like the others. It had a wonderful and rich life but I don't think it's going to have much of one after this year. Now to get back ontopic Rockstar never keeps anything exclusive on 1 console for long anyway.
