And no, Kinect falls flat on it's face when it comes to core games. Hell even the Wii with it's gimmicky controls actually had some titles worth getting.

If this rumor is true, Nintendo holds the key to future hardcore console gaming.

With MS and Sony so wrapped up in casual nonsense, Nintendo might be the only guys left catering to their hardcore fanbase.

Sony might do what MS did to Rare/Lionhead and turn all of their hardcore 1st party studios into casual factories.

Maybe you should start enjoying stuff like Wii Sports Resort? It's a fantastic game, "shallow/bland" presentation aside, especially local MP.

I mean it's not gonna be on the level of Angry Birds shallow ever so it's fine. People love Guitar Hero despite it being a casual game so that's contradictory, I guess it's the "mature" dudebro presentation of the game that interests people, yet it's just as casual as Wii Party or Wii Fit.

I find this topic odd considering PS2 had "kinect-style" motion controls before kinect was out...
