Rumors: Horrizon zero dawn coming to PC in 2020

Guerrilla Games also help Kojima with Death Stranding, it's why Death Stranding gives me that Horizon feel because of the engine that supports it. Kojima has good relationship with Guerrilla Games.

Hopefully, we'll hear something more of this news regarding HZD coming to PC from VGA 12/12.

I don't really have an urge to play it again, but it would be cool to see how it looks on PC with better graphics and a higher frame rate

Would be nice. I won't be excited for it, but if that does happen, I might get it just for the 60 FPS and MKB support, if it's a decent PC port.

Hmmmm, very interesting. Sony willingly bringing one of its AAA first party games to PC would mark a radical shift in their market approach. Or, at least, it would generate evidence for Ryan to take it to the board in Japan to consider broadening PS beyond its own hardware. I can only imagine they would do this via EGS seeing that the revenue share is what would warrant it.

I greatly enjoyed Horizon. I found it to be preferable to BotW, though much of its design is just solid execution and not necessarily groundbreaking. That said, some of the VA was horrendous, albeit kinda endearing as a result.

I think they only own the rights to Spider-Man movies.

If it does happen I don't know which would be funnier, the cows crying over losing an exclusive or the hermits celebrating getting console scraps.

I personally am not very interested, though. But it does look like one of the more interesting games in Sony's mostly medicore library.

the most interesting sony exclusive imo is resistance series. if resistance 4 will happen. i may consider getting PS5 too.

It's the Killzone engine made for KZSF. Guerrilla are better with it imo. DS does not look as good, very empty plain game.

Found those to be quite meh. Pretty bland and average like most Sony games. Felt like they tried to make their own Halo and almost succeeded.

Uncharted, God of War, Spiderman or whatever Sony fans don't stop talking about, are not very good games. Horizon looks better, but after Breath of the Wild, the interest just faded.

Released on PC by February without a word about it? Somehow I doubt that.

because i always wanted to play resistance series. unlike killzone which looks like COD in space. resistance looks very interesting.

HZD was release in late February 2017, it be a cool 3rd anniversary by releasing it on PC. Anything's possible.

They picked the wrong game to port, clearly it should have been Killzone Shadowfall. But I guess Horizon is a start.

Haven't played BotW but for me Spiderman and Uncharted 4 were both forgettable experiences. But as much as I love GOW I cannot put it above Bloodborne. To me it is the best PS4 exclusive if we don't count SotC remake.

Killzone: Shadowfall was good but forgettable. Give me HZD over Shadowfall any day.

PSNow is available on PS4 and PC. So, any game available via PSNow is available on PC. Not sure what difference you are clinging to.

Maybe through PSNow, but why would Sony do what brain dead Microsoft did? It's a horrible idea and right before the new consoles arrive. Micorsoft is still paying for releasing all their games on PC, why else do you think they're dead last.

You think they are paying for releasing games on PC? Really? They started small and then they ramped up the PC versions of games. Unless they were absolutely brain dead, and we both know they aren't, they must be making plenty of money releasing these games on PC as well, or else they wouldn't be doubling down on it.

They don't own the video game license to Spider-Man, but Marvel's Spider-Man on PS4 is a first party Sony title. This tweet is old, of course.

Sony does not own the Spider-Man IP. Just the film rights, which they currently can't even make money from the merch of those films since Disney started co-producing them to put Spider-Man in the MCU.

It's a great game. One of the few that I actually bought DLC for. If true, PC gamers are in for a treat.

It's all of the matter of "superior platform". I'm not talking about it's accessibility, but more over that if an ip is played with psnow over the PC, from what I researched, it's an nearly unbearable experience, and pales in comparison to the ps4 version, where as if it's released as an ip on the PC, it'll more than likely be the superior version.

I actually haven't played this yet, so if it hits PC, I can play it in ultrawide at a high fps and better settings.

If this releases on PC with ray tracing support, it might just be the best looking game imo.

OMFG I hope so. I enjoyed this game on my PS4 but every time I play an action game I think "Why? Why can't I hook up my mouse and keyboard to play this?"

Plus HZD was a gorgeous game, it will look 3x better on PC with better textures, too (assuming they do decide to provide better textures and detail). Not to mention the performance boost it will get; 1440p at 60+ fps for me!

I honestly don't mind waiting. There's so much good shit out there to play; people were poking fun at us having to wait for Red Dead Redemption 2 and I couldn't help but laugh as I play like a million other games.

Let the consoles have their exclusivity deals for a year, I can wait.

It's possible considering Death Stranding uses the same engine and it's going to be released on PC.

But why? My guess is that they want to test Horizon / Decima engine on PC hardware so they can futureproof the engine, tools etc. needed to release games on PS5 (and possibly PC).

Sony won't be as committed to PC as MS but, Shawn Layden mentioned that multiplayer games coming from Sony could be on other platforms. PC seems like the best choice. You may ask but, why not Killzone? Because, Horizon is a newer and more successful game.
