Rumour-Devil May Cry likely to have a showing at E3 says Capcom.

Every time I think about this new DmC, I feel like cutting my wrists with a broken DMC2 disc.foxhound_fox

Heres the thing there is no facts. Its just assumption. Hell look at KZ1-KZ2. Night and day difference. Im going on "hey it could happen". Im not saying its fact that it will not suck. Your just saying "its fact its going to suck and heres how im going to prove it by assumption" it also shows you dont even like the dev team ala acitivision comment(i mean really dude) me personally im willing to give it a chance. Also again im say most people are blindy hating on it cause most of them didint even mention the dev team when the announcement was made. It was all "look at dante this game will blow" if thats not blindly hating something and being close minded then idk what is.

Oh yeah Guerrilla did it therefore Ninja Theory can too. SO much difference between the two. Lets make it relevant. Capcom outsourcing development has done more damage than good this gen, Remember Bionic Commando ? Dark Void ? Lost Planet 2 ? The whole act just reeks of desperation to me. They didn't work with NT because they feel the devs have the capability but because Ninja Theory work for peanuts. It was a cheaper alternative, they sacrificed quality so the devs can make a casualised crappy title to appeal to a whole different audience.

You may not count them as fact but there is a lot more evidence suggesting it was a bad move, you are being too optimistic for your own good. Please tell me one good reason why you feel Ninja Theory will be able to do justice to Devil May Cry cause I seriously cant think of one. It's either accept the evidence pointing the negative or just carry on acting like the franchise is in good hands.

DMC4 was a solid game, but it felt alot like DMC1, and the storyline and characters are in such dissaray that i liked the idea of rebooting it.

I wasnt looking forward to DMC5 much.

I doubt it.

DMC4's main problem was that it felt so stale and tired and so lack of inspiration. And the level designs got lazy.

This new DMC is being developed by Ninja Theory. That's a huge potential liability IMO.

I'm glad to see the new DMC on E3, i mean, the real new DMC and not that lame joke NT is making.

Well, i liked SSF4, to much DLC/new Edittions/milking, sure, but the game is at least fun and truth to it's roots, unlike...sigh :(

I agree 100%. At least they could've made it interesting and not go totally emo + American mainstream looks. Why must Capcom allow this murdering of a great franchise?

That said, still looking forward to RE:ORC.

DMC 5 got so much hate when it was shown at TGS. Personally I don't think it's going to be good anyways, I guess its a prequeal since they changed Dante and made him younger. But maybe if it looks good at E3 I might change my mind about it.

For anyone who thinks we the fans of the franchise are being unfair to NT and DmC just understand that the devs have given us no reason to support them. Just look at the Tomb Raider reboot, despite being so far taken from a traditional Tomb Raider game and looking like a more raw ordeal but everything said and shown indicates the title is in good hands and that there is care and love(Yes Love!) for the franchise. The game will still be Tomb Raider in its core. In DMC's case the fans have been mocked by the devs, the characters have been mocked and even the gameplay style has been downplayed by Tameem and co. What reason is there for us to support such disrespectful developers ? They hate everything about DMC because that's what the facts show. This leads me to believe that they understand it's a popular IP and are only using it as a leg-up to gain exposure, otherwise they couldn't care less about DMC, and Capcom chose them because it's cheaper and still feel westernization of popular franchises is a way to go despite many failures. Therefore suggesting the title will most definitely under-deliver.

Hopefully Capcom will cancel this crap and give it to a proper developer, like Platinum.

It's not that NT is a bad dev per se. It's that they make games with simplistic, shallow combat, which is the last thing that DMC needs.
