I think its kind of disappointing for PS3-only users though. When I first got my PS3 I immediately threw $80 in the wallet in anticipation, but the games just aren't there. Aside from Warhawk and Wipeout HD there really isn't anything. Fat Princess got old after about 15 minutes.

Wow, why would you do that?:|

Meh, PSN's library isn't the greatest, but its a lot betterthan most here are making it out to be, and thats coming from someone who owns 80+ XBLA arcade games. Flower, Joe Danger, Fl0w, Fat Princess, Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection, etc. are all great, high quality games. It may have less great games overall but it also has far less filler when compared to XBLA, which gets **** games frequently.

xbla? psn? eh. i think a lot of that is just opinion. is limbo on psn? that's easily the best dlc titile i've played this gen.

iMojo786_PSN
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFvB3LNbs_U you must feel dumb now? and are any of the ps1 greatest classics on xbl? MGS1, FF7, Crash Bandicoot? all of which can be copyed onto PSP i found it a real joke that some people pay for online then pay for the games on store and DLC, the one thing stopping me from getting a 360 with Reach is that i have to purchase gold to unlock the multiplayer on reach.

um, okay. thanks? how would i feel dumb. i can play whatever i want.

the 360 is now struggling with the retail games, so they now are looking back towards their XBL games

I refer you to your username.

Well you did get butthurt, why else would you mention exclusive retail games in a thread that has nothing to do with it?

Not at all. I was simply answering the flame bait thread with a fact that is also true, while conceding that the OP was true as well. Your answer to my post certainly sounds more butthurt than mine, and I don't blame you, as arcade games are generally only good for a few hours apiece, while retail games of higher quality, have more replay value, and are much better games.

People are quick to compare console exclusives, but I have found just as much fun to be had with DD titles as retail. Xbox LIVE Arcade seems to be the big pink elephant in the corner of the room.

For sheer amount of content and quality, XBLA titles far surpass PSN offerings, imo, not only in 2010 but in general.

CuteCakes

...are you going to compare old games or new games.... becasue Nintendo has a huge list of games. I am sure Both Sony and MS will add plenty of games over the next year.

Yeah it has just tlike Sony's retail line-up has obliterated the 360's this year so far so, each has their own wins it seems.

Limbo looks really interesting, but honestly, that's all I'd really care to play on XBLA. I personally prefer retail over arcade games, which is why I'm happy I own a PS3.

Tob Raider Guardian of Light is on both XBLA and the PSN Store. Buy it, it's great. Obviously the XBLA is better, always. Don't have many games from either and actually have more from PSN, but it'd be foolish not to admit the XBLA is better. Still need to get Snoopy Flying Ace 8).

Generally, but not always. The recent Lara Croft (not Tomb Raider sorry I wrote it wrong) game has tons of content, both co-op (local or online) and single player. Only $15 too, so really there's just as much value in them. Joe Danger is $15 and it's one of the most fun games I've bought all year.

If you only count indie ga,es then it's not a competiton, xbla is superior. However, you're forgeting ps1 classics. Vagrant story, sukoiden 2 and parasite eve are coming soon :D

While i agree with your topic, I must say that ps3-only users are very well taken care of with their purchase. The "few" good psn titles is a plus with the ps3 awesome software line-up as of present.

Not necessarily the same thing. Atleast on the XBLA ports you still get achievements, leaderboards, and still have full access to XBL. Some (maybe even most) PS1 classics don't even use all the buttons on the controller when it would really help to.

So? that's a pretty arbitrary reason for not counting them. With PSN you always have free internet access with any game that requires it should we not count any XBLA game then because of that?

Also what is with all these people saying it's opinion if the XBLA is better than PSN? And then you all go and say the PS3 has better exclusives. Is that all opinion too then? If all the PS3 users are just going to say its opinion stop trying to tell us PS3 has better exclusives than the 360.

Yes, I would agree...

BUT... PSN has those Final Fantasy games, Wild Arms, Suikoden.... masterpeice PS1 rpgs imo.

They are older games but I think ive enjoyed Suikoden, FF7-9 and Wild Arms as much as all the great Xboxlive arcade games.

Why not count the hundreds of backwards compatible Xbox games while we're at it? The features and graphical improvements these games are given are much needed for those that would otherwise feel dated. That same effort isn't put into PS1 classics which are really just to make up for the lack of BC in newer ps3s.

You can compare and see for yourself if you'd like..

[QUOTE="kuraimen"]

[QUOTE="Karnage108"] Not necessarily the same thing. Atleast on the XBLA ports you still get achievements, leaderboards, and still have full access to XBL.Karnage108

So? that's a pretty arbitrary reason for not counting them. With PSN you always have free internet access with any game that requires it should we not count any XBLA game then because of that?

Why not count the hundreds of backwards compatible Xbox games while we're at it? The features and graphical improvements these games are given are much needed for those that would otherwise feel dated. That same effort isn't put into PS1 classics which are really just to make up for the lack of BC in newer ps3s.

You can compare and see for yourself if you'd like..

All PS3s are backwards compatible with the over 2,000 PSOne games (although region specificity likely limits this number).

I don't think it matters when you're arguing over second to last place. Why don't you compare it to steam?

lol, pretty sure it would be the same with GS scores.

I'm not too much into arcade games. I probably have 4 each on 360 and PS3. Shadow Complex is the best out of the bunch.

and the funny thing is thaty XBLA is doing more wonders for the 360 than it's sxclusive retail category.
