[QUOTE="The_Game21x"] Saints Row 2 is a fun game no doubt but it doesn't compare to GTA 4 in my opinion.
It's a jack of all trades and a master of none. What it does, it does decently, but there's always a strange lack of depth in just about everything it does. The gunplay is fun, if lacking in subtlety. Driving from place to place sometimes feels like a chore because I've been spoiled by GTA 4's excellent driving engine and cab service, which will cart you off to any area of the city, instantaneously if you wish. Missions are frenzied and entertaining, but lack that sort of "oomph" and sense of purpose that GTA 4's had.
So. at the end of the day, I like Saints Row 2 but it'll always be an "also ran"next to GTA 4.

Exactly. And there are NO memorable characters in Saint's Row at all..Where's the Brucies? The little Jacobs? I give the game it's props, it IS a lot of fun and it is better than the first one, But Stillwater is just that- STILL. It has the same problem the first game had, it lacks personality. THe city looks like a city of cardboard cutouts or the backlot of a Hollywood set and driving around it is lame..ESPECIALLY when you compare it to GTA IV.I like the game but no, GTA IV is the better game. That's the thing. SR2 is fun, no doubt, but the city doesn't feel alive. Liberty City in GTA IV felt like a living and breathing city. Sure, SR2 took it a step further than the original, and you'll see people cuddling on benches, etc, but it still doesn't have that feel of a living and breathing world. When I played GTA IV, I didn't even like to kill civilians, because they responded, they'd put their hands on your car hood if you tapped into them. In SR2 I can go on a killing spree and not think twice. Both are good, but GTA IV succeeds more.
