Saints Row 2 might as well own GTA 4

There is no denying the game looks far more fun to play.

It is basically San Andreas on steriods. In the trailer I witnessed driving small airplanes, helicopters that shoot, concrete trucks, pushing people on train tracks, riding on top of cars, skydiving, etc.

Looks more fun than the boring GTA 4. GTA 4 is a remarkable game but it wears thin because all you do is see how many cops you can kill.

It aint about that man. It is about having fun with the game. Scores and sells are so overrated, what happened to the days where people would just play a game for the fun of it?

GTA 4 did not deserve a 10, eveyone I know are basically tired of it. Killing respawning cops and tryingto stay alive as long as possible starts to wear off.

How am I a sheep? SR 2 is not coming out for the Wii. As for you, I only own a PS3. I liked Nintendo up til the Wii but I cant fanthom this casual business stuff.

I repeat SR 2 and GTA 4 are not on the Wii.

it's weird, but it seems like saints row 2 will have a lower score but it will be a better game. It wont be as beautiful as gta4 or as much as a piece of art, but it will have more insane fun to it. It seems to me that rockstar left something behind when they decided to focus on realism. Realism was never really what gta was about.

I dont punish gta4 for it btw. The game deserves its 10, and I will say that the realism helps enhance the fun of abusing the people on the sidewalk, just to give credit where credit is due.

Lmao! That was one of the best trailers I've ever seen! TC was actually right, SR2 is GTA SA on steroids lol. It looks like a lot of fun. I highly doubt it will have a storyline like GTA IV, but this one looks like it's for the millions of GTA players that never bothered starting the story. :P

You can even drive ATVs in it. Probably loads to do.

Problem here is that sandbox games should not be too realistic. They should give you plenty of things to do. If you want to walk in the fair, you should have the option of riding rides, basically control the roller coaster or whatever.

from what ive seen, i have a strong feeling gta4 will be a lot more fun. im still going for 100% and im still having tons of fun.

but saints row will be a good game. its not like true crime, that was just awful

Not really. I comlpetely agree with him. Saints Row was a quality game, and its shooting and driving controls remain better than GTA's even after GTAIV. Plus, like he said, it looks like much more fun.

They make good points, hangiong out with people was one of GTAIVs biggest faults. But i dont think SR2 can take GTAIV on story and gameplayWaffle_Fish

The only reason GTA got a 10 was because of the name(3.5 automatic headstart),the wait was finally over(1.5),story's great(3.5),and graphics look good(1.5).

There is no way SR2 will score as well or sell nearly as well. However I will probably have more fun with it. We already know that SR2 has mid-mission checkpoints, more vehicles, more gameplay variety and is far more destructible. The story probably won't be great-but GTAIV's story was quite the disappointment for me anyways; the end was anti-climatic and cluttered with too many secondary characters.

Regardless, the free-romaing game I'm really looking forward to this year is Mercenaries 2. Fully destructible environments + mid-air helicopter high-jacking =me want bad!

Saints Row DOES play better. I'm not saying it's a better game overall as it obviously doesn't have the budget or production value of GTAIV, but in terms of gameplay, it does indeed play better. Saints Row 1 plays better than GTAIV. Fact. The controls are better, the driving is better, the shooting is better. And driving while shooting is MUCH better.

Did you play it? :? The controls were amazing. And the driving is way better. Obviously GTA is more realistic, if that's what you prefer. But in terms of being able to drive around easily and enjoyable, saints row was much better.

I dont see how the controls being better is debateable though. Being able to run towards the camera, chuck a grenade over your shoulder and watch the chaos? Priceless.

i thought the shooting was better in gta4, i love the cover system. and driving is so good. before racing in gtas wasnt as fun, but now i actually love racing.
