Saints Row PS3 canceled- What next, cows?

Lemmings are so spoiled. :| They've gotten nearly every PS3 exclusive, and right before cows could get their revenge, this happens.

Poor, poor cows. And don't bother saying "Bu...bu...but we still have teh MGS 4!" 

Cows aren't missing much IMO. SR improved a lot of things for that genre, but overall it was very blah and nothing special IMO.

Yeah, that's what you guys say AFTER it's canceled. Before, you guys were all "ZoMG, 360 owners OWNED! We get an exclusive!" and making it seem like the best game on earth. 

ps3 has more exclusives coming out then the 360 does fact. ps3 is getting saints row 2 fact. every 360 exclusive goes to PC so the only real exclusives you have are about 3-4 games fact. who cares about saints row when GTA4 is coming out FACT. lemmings coming out of the woodworks cause forza2 demo looks like trash FACT!!!e20Dylan

1. Grand theft auto 4 comes out in 5 months
2. They figured that enough people had played it and figured alot of PS3 owners had a 360
3. Saints row 2 comes out in 08

Im sorry but any Lemming that try's to say that cows got owned cause of Saints Row 1..... its self ownage.

Saints row brought alot of good things to the genere, but the bottome line is the frame rate of that game on the 360 was appauling, and made it down right unplayable.   Only reason I wanted it on PS3 was maybe they might fix the frame rate issues the 360 had, so that I can actually enjoy the game :roll:  O well....  But I hope they don't do that crappy 15 fps crap with part 2.

AvidGamer theory of Saints Row cancellation for PS3

1. GTA IV is releasing in 5 months

2. PS3 install base is not even 33% of Xbox 360s install base

-- THQ thought that releasing Saints Row this close to the GTAIV launch, and the PS3 install base being as low as it is would be a major catastrophe.  Sales would be absolutely dismal for Saints Row on PS3. 

Ok, so why is THQ going to release Saints Row 2 on PS3 at all then?  Because the GTAIV hype will have died down by 2008 and most people who wanted GTA IV will have already gotten it by then anyway.  PS3 install base will be larger than it is now.  Saints Row 2 will have no GTA type game to compete with in 2008. 

I know that people will just say so what it's SR and it sucked but the problem with that was it was a good game. I had fun playing it and I thought it improved on the GTA formula in at least a couple of ways.

You guys got hosed on this one and I am not taking any perverse pleasure in the fact that you don't get to play it because I wanted more people to be able to experence what a great title it was.
