Metroid Prime series has always been a Commercial Flop since alot of Gamers don't want Adventure in there FPSs and didn't you make this same exactthread a month ago.Nintendo_Ownes7
You've created a strange exception for the "sales matter point" - why is that?

I don't know I was just saying that every single Metroid Prime was a Commercial Flop in sales, since some people find the Adventure part boring in and they just wants to play a normal FPS.Metroid Prime 3 is at almost 1 million sales. I didn't know 1 million = flop, lol.
Do you know how few games sell 1 million? Very, very few.

Wii out selling the competition is a victory. Metroid 3 NOT out selling the competition is still a victory. That doesn't make much sense. The sales point basically says Metroid 3 is a failure. Again, these are the rules from sheep.

But Metroid Prime series don't have any competition since Metroid Prime is an FPA, not a FPS.Sheep haven't been saying that. Since they have said that the Wiimote is greater than a key board and mouse for such games. Why are the controls for an FPA better than the controls for a traditional FPS - yet NOW you say they are not the same??
You can try and spin it however you want, but the fact remains that MP3 is at almost 1 million sales (it may even be past 1 million now for all I know). This is something that only a tiny fraction of all games accomplish. Any game that reaches 1 million is a huge commercial success.
I don't care if FPSs on other systems have sold better. Good for them. That doesn't make MP3s numbers worse. This is not a competition here. Everyone wins.

The Sheep only said the Wii Remote is about as good as a Keyboard and Mouse because IGN and other review sites said it, and Gamespot always called Metroid Prime series a First Person Adventure, and FPS and FPA control the same way Metroids controls just laid the Ground work for other FPSs on the Wii even though it is a FPA.You can try and spin it however you want, but the fact remains that MP3 is at almost 1 million sales (it may even be past 1 million now for all I know). Yeah, but you do care when the Wii sells more than other systems and you promptly claim victory. The sheep sales point has a pretty bad double standard - and you as well as the rest are denying it.
Prime 3 flopped.
I loved 1 and 2. I tried 3, i got literally sick of it.
Difficulty was so easy an 8 year old could do it. Where's my hardcore experience?
Too much emphasis on exploring, I went for 20 minutes without seeing one enemy.
Control scheme was worse then a controller. Im sorry, that must be said, Prime 3 fans have to deal with that.
STory is lame. Wheres the improvement? Make Samus talk all ready? If you see the Halo 3 and Mass Effect storylines, then see Prime 3's, you will be a little disjusted.
I was once a big Prime fan, but Nintendo wanted to appeal to casuals, thus this game was watered down to the core gamer.

a. If you play on veteran, it's just as difficult as the first two games.
b. The control is way better than the first two MPs. Dual analog sucks for FPS/FPA. I'm sorry, that must be said.

I think that might be Metroid Prime series only Competition in the genre besides Geist but Geist is made by Nintendo aswell.[QUOTE="Number_1_Gamer"]You can try and spin it however you want, but the fact remains that MP3 is at almost 1 million sales (it may even be past 1 million now for all I know). You want to talk double-standards? This ought to be fun...
Personally, I don't like to play sales. However, I find it VERY interesting that sales have always determined the winner of a console war (PS1, PS2)... but when the Wii came out, that idea was thrown out the window.
And as for sales, I've heard cows talking about how PS3 is outselling Wii at the moment, and I've heard quite a few lemmings talking about their game and console sales, too.
Now that Wii has the #2 rated game of ALL TIME, there are lemmings who still will not accept it because it is too "kiddy." I've even seen some people who refuse to acknowledge GameRankings and keep telling themselves that SMG, Halo 3, and Crysis are all equally rated.

LOL - wow. I have never seen someone back peddle so quickly and so poorly. Sheep are by far the most hypocritical posters on these boards. They claim to be the most civil, yet act like animals when Zelda got a an 8.9. And, now that the sales argument has been proven to hold little to no water when Metroid 3 is brought up - you hem and haw. Telling me its not the same.
I'm not really a Sheep I like Nintendo more then any company but I also own a 360, will get a PS3 when I get money and some more games I want come out for it, I probably play the 360 more the the Wii but that is because it is kind've hard to buy games when I don't have money my brother mainly buys the games for the 360.Please Log In to post.
