Not likely, GT5 will crush Forza 3 sales.

Yesh.GT has historically been on a platform that absolutely dominated the competition in sales. This time... not so much. Even Halo 3 only sold to about half of the world's Xbox owners. Without 40-50 million PS3s installed by the time GT5 releases, Sony won't be able to repeat GT1-4's successes.

Not even close, especially now that Nascar is included and online. Just chalk up more sales, it may even outsell Gran Turismo 3. If gamescon was any showing of how much people care about forza in europe, then i doubt it will do well sales wise compared to GT. Plus GT has the Japanese market, and Forza doesn't. Multi-console owners only have to look at the stats sheet to see which one to get, and GT5 easily comes up with more bang for your buck.Adrian_CloudYea, Pholphony is good at using NASCAR for more sales. They put 7 of Dale Jr's(most popular driver) on the track at a time in the trailer.
The guys at Sony know what they are doing, they know GT5 is their biggest franchise. Its coming this holiday. They know GT5 would beat Forza 3 in sales easy and there is no way that GT5 would release between Q1-Q2 of 2010. Sony is going to capitalize on GT5 as best as they can and thats by releasing this holiday along with the PS3 slim.

metal gear solid 4 sold as well if not better than 3 irregardless of install base. whats to say gt5 wont do the same?
Please keep in mind that Sony created a MGS4 bundle so every system that was sold with it came with the game. That's going to boost the sales of the game even though the person didn't actually pay for the game.[QUOTE="karsa-orlong"][QUOTE="lowe0"]

Please also keep in mind that gran turismo 3 - the best selling gran turismo - released when the PS2 were around only 10 million. By the time GT5 releases the PS3 userbase will likely be around 2.5-3 times the amount of potential buyers. Please Log In to post.
