Does it run with 30 or 60 fps?

they've clearly scaled back in a LOT of areas to make the most obvious flaws less apparent. Ones that i've noticed are the god-awful textures, lack of waves in the water (those on the PC are actually caused by wind and have more calculations than the entire game of FarCry), and less responsive physics and AI. With those cuts, you can add more draw distance and such while trying to keep the 25-30fps mark.[QUOTE="wis3boi"][QUOTE="SPYDER0416"]
The fact that it has draw distance past 8 feet on consoles already means it runs better then Crysis did on medium. The draw distance below high was just beyond terrible in my experience for that game. But hey, if it really does look worse then at least the PC version on medium looks better up to 8 feet right?

So, do you just always make things up to feel more right, or is this a one time case of you pulling these "facts" out of thin air?
I mean, it might not be as pretty on consoles, but since the AI and physics weren't all that great on PC it just seems like damage control. Blame consoles for issues Crysis had 4 years before it came on consoles. Actually, that seems to be where the blame trend is heading.
i didnt make any of that upFired this thing up last night on the 360 and cannot believe the visuals in this game. Simply stunning. The lighting is just pure sweet sauce! Then add in the fact that destruction seems to have been taken up a notch along with the physics in the game. I mean so far I've been chopping down trees left and right and it's just fun to watch. Also bushes, leaves etc.. now react to you even more as you move through them.
Also after playing this game last night it's clear that people were panicking way too early about the lack of foliage. There's plenty of it! Oh and that water! Still gorgeous! But oh wait! Go under water now and you will see marine life like fish. I approached a beach section and saw crab and turtles going in and out of the water. Sounds corny but it's little things like that combined with the sweet visuals which just adds to the immersion factor of being on an isolated island. Oh yeah and the game is just so damn fun to play :)
...and all of this being done in a huge, wide open environment!
Oh wow. Is this better than the PC version? Even though it was compared in some other thread but it was a bad one. Because the resolutions were different. How about compare PC version in 720p then see the results.sethman410
Better to run it at 1080p and upscale the console shots.
After just buying the game on the Steam sale, I can safely comment on what a downgrade. The first shot of the video is in the jungle and thought they should have named the video to "Welcome to the jaggies"
Jaggies: what you get when you "cut corners" hehehe I'm such a comedian :PAfter just buying the game on the Steam sale, I can safely comment on what a downgrade. The first shot of the video is in the jungle and thought they should have named the video to "Welcome to the jaggies"

First it was- Crysis couldnt be done on consoles, then crysis coming to consoles is just a rumor, then crysis on low looks better than the console version and now medium, whats next?Well, you heard it, folks. Crysis on Medium looks better than the console version:

Does resolution matter when there's an obvious difference?
I think it looks OK but it is not anything special. I think a lot of 360 and PS3 games blows it out of the water. But considering I doubt they spent a lot of money and time on it, it does look pretty good. Hate the bloom though.

Well, you heard it, folks. Crysis on Medium looks better than the console version:

The console version clearly has better textures in that screenshot. Get your eyes checked.
WOOSH! Nothing gets past you, does it? On topic: it's sad that consolites are declaring victory by attempting to prove that Crysis on consoles looks better than Crysis on PC at MEDIUM settings. That's like me saying my Toyota Camry is better than 1/4 of your Lexus.
The lighting is cool but a bit overdone in places. the textures are really bad. just grab a guy and look at his clothes detail. im still impressed by it though strangely. never thought i would see it look like that on a console
People need to understand that Screenshots and something in Motion are vastly different. The PC version looks better sure but when it looks better coupled with the ability to go to 60FPS too, its hugely different. Consolites tend to overlook Framerate because they aren't given the choice to go higher or lower. They also don't get to choose how much AA they can have etc. so its not just about it looking better but also the options to customise how it looks.
However it looks far better than crysis at medium only because crysis on anything lower than high actually looks pretty bad. I mean have you ever put it on low? that looks positively nasty and PS2 like
[QUOTE="SPYDER0416"]No one has said anything negative about the game, you are the only one here coming here and making assumptions about what PC gamers will do and you also fail differentiate between elitist/fanboy and just a normal gamer.Considering how the console version look miles ahead of Crysis on medium (seriously, that game does NOT scale down well), I don't see the negativity. Though to be fair, most of it is from PC gamers who love their exclusive baby. Honestly though, just let everyone enjoy it, its not affecting you right?

Actually, I PC game myself, and here I am seeing some hating, considering this is SW its not unexpected. I mean, if MGS4 ever came to Xbox I know PS3 fanboys would explode and bring down that version with the multiple discs or some other dumb thing.
When someone says "the AI is teh consolized" or starts to point out the lack of the expansions, then you know there is some serious DC going on.
Truthfully though I may have come in here a bit more brash, but all I wanted to say was just to let everyone enjoy it in peace. I didn't initially mean so much hostility but it kind of came out based on a few negative comments over the various positive comments, so that's my bad.
comprared to Pc games it looks okay
comprared to other console games it looks great, but IMO Uc3 and Gears 3 look better
It looks really good......and better than PC version.AtariKidX
Either you're sarcastic or horrible informed
By far the best looking console game, i wont even comment on the scale and detailed world :)
Path based games are dead now, Crytek is here
i think it looks kind of bad, low detail anywhere in the distance. Chuggy framerate when moving around. Could be because im used to how its supposed to look.
What the hell happened to the island?Looks like lumberjacks have cleared some areas.Endomi
they had to make alot of changes for it to work on 512mb ram, it was never ever the gpu/cpu that was the problem, it was always the ram, they found ways around that
