I for one was quite disapointed in GOW1. That was the ONE game I wanted at launch but it of course was delayed forever. When I finaly played it ...I was like..eh, nothing special. And online was so horrible I would have rather played GOFISH with my kids.

I have to also add that EVERY SINGLE GAME these days is hypped as the "second coming of christ" Take Crysis for instance. Its only saving grace is its graphics. You dont hear much about it these days.

Every console , and PC and handheld gets so much "hype" you just have to ignore it all..

Well I thought it was awesome, and that's without any hype for it. Wasn't gonna bother getting until I played at my friends and got hooked :D

ummm no,Gears had awesome MP and bloody fun single player,you just hating cozits a 360 game and you think 360 sucks (i saw it in urprofile)

gears 2 coop is actually proper campaign coop unlike R2, what is R2 coop? "kill gazillion enemies, hit 1 switch then move to another objective which is same, gazillion enemies coming at you hit 1 more switch, repeat again" also R2 is failure compared to Gears of War 2

single player is fun, but the story behind it is lacking. they do not flesh out the new characters at all. you dont have to believe me but when the games released we'll see whos right =D

No, the missions are more structured, but yes there are hords of gray's, sometimes as many as 30 at a time.

the MP, i enjoy cod4 mp than that game.

So you're saying you don't like the Gears of War style gameplay, the original campaign and multiplayer, but you feel you would've liked this sequel if it had a better story? Please. Gears is imply not a story-driven game. The story is completely secondary.

I'm after an improved model of the Gears 1 mold, just like all Gears fans are, which is precisely what this game is. Gears 1 was awesome, and the story was garbage. I'm after the Co-Op campaign, the killer online, etc.

If you didn't like the first Gears I don't know why you're even bothering with the sequel, and to say that the story was the thing you were looking forward to most in this sequel is absolutely asinine.

And I don't know what COD4 has to do with this, COD4 is a completely different game, they're not even similar. COD4 is a FPS. That's like saying "I don't like Halo 3 online, I prefer GTA 4 online." Uh, OK.

i may have exaggerated when i said apart from the horde mode, the story was something i demanded for.

but if you think that it is insane to not like the first gears but play the sequel, is insane, then good for you.

i did not like resistance1, but im sure as hell im buying resistance 2.

as to you who say that comparing mp gears and mp cod4 is farfetched, i didnt even get to the specific details.

i just enjoyed mp cod4 mp than geow1 mp, is it too hard too accept that?

I just said it's ridiculous for someone who didn't like the original Gears at all to look forward to Gears 2 based on the notion that it'll have a great story, and then be disapointed to find out that, much like the 1st Gears, it isn't story driven.

And I play COD4 and the original Gears online like crazy. Apart from being shooters, they are nothing alike.

lol you have never played R2 have you it has 30 or more enemies on the screen during co-op. I have not heard gears having this many enemies during horde mode the most i have heard is 20. Still horde mode sounds cool but it also sounds like it could get boring after awhile.

There were a lot more than 20 enemies on screen from what I've seen of the game.
