Honestly, F.E.A.R. is the only truly scary game I've ever played. And not the whole "blood and guts" scary but the "jump from your seat" scary. After a while it kind of becomes routine but the first few times it happens it is very effective.Newsboy

what he said, this game is psychologically scary also

To be honest i didnt even think Doom 3 was scary just repetitive to me.Well the only games ive found scary was Resident Evil 0 damn fun coop tho but scary and Silent Hill 4 tripped out sh*t that dont like stuff that messes with your mind like that,cool wailing on things with baseball bats tho.

system shock scared the fraggy out of me....really the only game that scared me. FEAR also had the fear factor but got old really quick.....the girl was cute after a while not scary

FEAR. i swear i didn't want to move. I just wanted to stand there and wait for backup :P. and at the start, i was sooooo scared cos all i had was a ******* pistol, i mean, what the **** is a pistol gonna do lol? oh and is resident evil 4 meant to be scary, because i haven't been scared yet apart from one bit where i'm in this garden with dogs.

Doom 3. I eventully got to this point where I was emotionally and physically exhausted and I met this scientist dude who told me to fetch a power conduit or something down this long long black passage and I just got up, turned it off then found a corner of my room to adopt the foetal position and held onto a towel...:(

I've been there my friend, try using headphones and turn all the lights off in the middle of the night its freaky.

I would say Metroid Prime scared me and creeped me out,since I was 9 or 10 when I first played it,and the overall alien and atmospheric feel of it scared me,along with some really awesome creatures.

Alien Vs Predator in the dark. I couldn't play for much longer than 15-20 mins without risking a heart attack. My friend couldn't manage much more than 10mins at a time. Should have been a health warning on that thing!

Shame about the multiplayer coop mode on that game. The only game where coop wasn't coop. More like an infinite spawn shoot up. Would have been great to play in multiplayer coop as a team beginning to end.

Scariest game would go to Fatal Frame, I thought the Silent Hill games were scary until I played that game, could only play it in small intervals. An honorable mention would be Alien Vs Predator for pc (playing as a marine), and only because of the face huggers. Those things made me jump because you 'd be in a dark room and then BOOM it's attached to your face...also freaky to hear them run around a room and you don't know exactly where it's coming from. Fatal Frame though takes the cake and I've played every game mentioned in this thread, most don't even come close to the scare factor of that game.

condemned. If you haven't played it...do. But play it alone at night in a dark house. And the bigger the screen the better w/5.1 sound a must.

Also have a spare pair of undies on hand as you'll dirty the ones you're wearing.
