ive got fingers crossed that its a ff game based off of the ff1 timeline/world. the number 4 could be referring to the number of light warriors or crystals..... its prolly not but i would do some quite unruly things if this were true.
for the guy who said chrono trigger, its the wrong art style. unfortunately (for me) its probably romancing saga or grandia (i'd say the art style fits romancing saga more than grandia though)
I'm loving Vagrant Stroy so far (its hard though lol) but isn't Matsuno or whoever the mastermind behind it gone from SE due to cancer?

I don't think he did. People like to make up excuses for matsuno because he is an acredited writer, but in reality he pretty much ruined the plot of XII by leaving Square in the middle of production.

For the SOUND of it, it is a game for handhelds. No complain there, maybe square has more chance to get back to its former glory with games for handhelds.
Its possible that this could be a remake of Final Fantasy V for the DS. Dragons figured heavilly into FF V's plot, and it did involve four warriors of light who were trying to protect the crystals from shattering.
From what I've read, the remakes of FF III and IV sold very well in Japan and the US. Also, the development team behind III and IV have stated that they would lover to work on more remakes.
Personally, I kinda hope this turns out to be a remake of FF V.
