[QUOTE="-Snooze-"][QUOTE="jalexbrown"] Dead Rising, Last Remnant (one of those JRPGs you've never played...not very good, by the way), Mass Effect 1/2, and Viva Pinata aren't exclusive. Infamous, Demon's Souls, HeavyRain, and Valkyria Chronices - at the very least - are four games of which I can think that have no 360 alternatives.jalexbrown
Is the argument. "The PS3 has more epc single player games" Or is it "The PS3 has more exclusive singe player games"
ME, Viva Pinata etc are on the 360 too, they are part of it's library. If the 360 had a library 100% made up of shooters, but it's only exclusive game was a puzzler, would it be a puzzler console?
All I'm arguing is that the PS3 has more variation in its exclusives than the 360.Why? :?
The ps3 having more varation doesn't autimaticy cancel out 360's, they're almost even.
[QUOTE="jalexbrown"]I don't know if they're epic, but these are the single-player, non-shooter, PS3-exclusives I can remember: Infamous Demon's Souls (it had online, but it was also entirely satisfying without playing it online) White Knight Chronicles (see above) Heavy Rain Metal Gear Solid 4 (because I know some lemming would argue if you called Splinter Cell a shooter) Valkyria Chronicles Heavenly Sword God of War 3 (coming) I considered putting Uncharted 1/2 on here, but lemmings would argue that it was a shooter, so it just wasn't worth the trouble. Anyways, I'm sure I'm still missing some exclusives, and that's more variety than the 360 offers in exclusives. I also skipped on exclusives not out yet except for God of War 3, because it comes out next month.locopatho
I didn't actually think shooters were excluded, but regardless it's still pretty even, Gears cancels out Uncharted, Halo cancels out Killzone, etc.
As for non shooters, there's Saint's Row, Dead Rising, Lost Odyssey(plus several more JRPGs I haven't played...), Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Kameo, Banjo, Viva Pinata, Viva Pinata 2, Crackdown, Fable 2, Ace Combat,Forza, PGR,etc. It all seems very even to me.
you had a somewhat decent argument until this. UC destroys Gears story, and UC2 widen the gap with Gears 2 in the stroy department. Everyone who is anyone should know that Gears isn't really meant for a story line let alone an "epic" story[QUOTE="jalexbrown"]I don't know if they're epic, but these are the single-player, non-shooter, PS3-exclusives I can remember: Infamous Demon's Souls (it had online, but it was also entirely satisfying without playing it online) White Knight Chronicles (see above) Heavy Rain Metal Gear Solid 4 (because I know some lemming would argue if you called Splinter Cell a shooter) Valkyria Chronicles Heavenly Sword God of War 3 (coming) I considered putting Uncharted 1/2 on here, but lemmings would argue that it was a shooter, so it just wasn't worth the trouble. Looking at it like that, he missed a few as well, like Motorstorm PR, R&C: ToD, R&C: ACiT, Siren, LBP, and plenty othersAll I'm arguing is that the PS3 has more variation in its exclusives than the 360.[QUOTE="jalexbrown"][QUOTE="-Snooze-"]

They both have tons of variation. People seem to only care about the highest rated exclusives, besdies, what's so special about exclusives?
The library as a whole is more important then a few niche exclusives
You're right, but this makes too much sense for SW.
i don't see why people fight all the time over ps3vs360, if you have both, realisticly 99% of their libraries are the same, then you have a few things that each system doesn't have. But i woulndn't call the ps3 the story system, more like cinematic since alot of their stories try to capture a cinematic experience. 360 on the other hand tries to capture... how much fun it is to blow things up. Obviously there are exceptions, ratchet and clank for one =D, though i can really think of anything really cinematic but it does have good stories, halo, lost odyssey, gears are all pretty original.

Probably more like 90% but your point is well taken.
That's a narrow minded way of looking at the consoles this gen. You can find a rich variety of genres on all 4 systems. I'd say this gen is the most balanced gen to date.

yah, but if you bought games like i did, first for my 360, then for my ps3, i ended up with stacks of 360 games, and killzone, infamous, ratchet and clank before i sold it :([QUOTE="blue_hazy_basic"][QUOTE="Master_ShakeXXX"]Hows Mass Effect 2 on it? you guys praise ME2 non stop lol. wow. So cows can praise U2 and Heavy Rain all they want, and lemmings aren't allowed to bring up their own exclusives. Wow.PS3 only has everything.

Wow. me2 is only exclusive in the real world, but here pc counts even though pc's and consoles have a fairly seperate market.

I see. I guess the PC counts as a console in every generation. That kinda threw me off. Please Log In to post.
