I enjoyed Battle Adventure 2. Those Chaos were really fun to raise.

Just the entire industry touts how good Sonic 1 - 3&Knuckles (even include Sonic CD) were, in an era where platformers were king. I dare to think you've never laid your hands on a Genesis controller, let alone Sonic. I don't have the energy to explain to you that everything from precise controls, graphics, soundtrack (one of the best), and gameplay made Sonic a standout. Which is why the dropoff of quality of Sonic games in the 3D era is such a big deal. If the games weren't good to begin with, then no one would care if Sonic games today are mediocre at best.

Shame most of the most fanbase don't think the likes of Sonic 2006 and Unleashed suck then diss the classics like Sonic 2 and Sonic CD.

If Generations had those cute Chao-s, then the game would had been perfect. But no, they don't have them sadly. Raising those Chao-s made me spend more time playing Adventures more than its worth.

Yeah, loved those suckers. You ever get them leveled up to like golden chaos and they would do all sorts of unexpected things like sit there and draw pictures of Sonic on the floor for you?

Franchise fatigue, the "climate change" of gaming.

I can't believe some people stand up for certain games.

ladyblue is obviously trolling...

Anyway, I'd say the transition to 3D was actually pretty smooth with Adventure 1 & 2, especially Adventure 2, which has aged very well (better than the 3D platformers on the PS1 & N64). But almost everything that came after Adventure 2 has been disappointing, with the exceptions of Colors and Generations, which managed to capture the greatness of classic Sonic.

Yeah, sometimes they would sing together like a kindergarden group where one plays different instruments cutely. The spoilt ones run towards your character and wants to be hugged... Dammit way too cute.

Franchise fatigue only happens cuz some of the games were bad. There is no franchise fatigue with Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Metroid, etc...because the games are great.

@sayyy-gaa: maybe my post sounded more serious than intended. I didn't think the climate change reference would have been way to get too. Maybe I should delete my post.

Indeed ya know I hadn't thought it before and we've had enough remakes but I'd approve of a total from the ground up remake of Sonic Adventure and bet Sega, if they did it right could have a real winner and money maker on it's hands . As Ricky Bobby's son would say... Do it Sega, get your balls back lol.
