we owe it to sega after they made the genesis, that they are capable of making great hardware.
not only that, but the dreamcast as well. it wasn't them that screwed up on the DC, it was you guys, the PS2 owners

They cant they dont have it in them anymore.. They rarely interenally develop great games anymore.. The competition is too fierce.. They dont have the money or talent to keep up any longer.. Its a shame they were always my favorite company but its over and we just have to except it.
What Sega needs to do is to Make New Games for Old IPs.
Vectorman 3. That would be cool right? Ecco The Dolphin Ocean Sim. That would be awesome too.
We have a Nights game on the Wii.
Shenmune?

no they shouldnt. The only one they should bring back is shenmue just because they need to finish the story. Im not dying until I play shenmue 3. I dont care if that means I have to become a vampire and wait for a 1000 years.
but anyways the great thing about Sega was that they didnt dwell on certain franchises. Every gen. other than sonic pretty much everything they did was completely new and exciting. Because games like vectorman, and altered beasts, kid chameleon, toejam & earl.. They simply wouldnt translate into todays games.. It just wouldnt really work and all it would do is diminish the memories of the originals *cough* NiGHTS on wii *cough*
They always made new games that they believed would be relevant to gamers now, and not dwell on their past hoping they could thrive on nostalgia which was one of the greatest strengths of the company, they had unparralleled originallity
Nah. They just don't have the money and aren't in the position to be making consoles right now, or probably any time in the forseeable future.
Besides, they're doing just fine pushing out quality titles as a third party developer and publisher.
Electronic Arts and Activision have a far better chance of making a new console and I myself would welcome the notion as opposed to Sega going at it again.
Sega had another chance... it was called Dreamcast. It failed... I'll remember the good times of Sega, but Sega is finishedthey have fallen hard and will never get back up.
Sony and Nintendo has Humiliated SEGA and have been forced down to levels they make games for them.
They will not try again.

Yeah they made the Genesis. I bought one. I also bought the Sega CD, the 32X, the GameGear and the Saturn, and got screwed on everything BUT the Genesis.
Screw Sega.
I want my money back. I'm glad I didn't get the Dreamcast, seeing as how they stopped short on it the same way they did the Sega CD, the 32X, the GameGear and the Saturn.
We don't owe a thing to Sega. If they can't deliver the goods (in this case games or consoles) that consumers desire or need and are willing to pay full asking price for then they don't deserve anything.
Just in case you think Iam being hard on Sega I owned both a Saturn and a Dreamcast. Dreamcast was easily one of the best consoles that died an early death but Sega failed to stick a dvd drive in it and Sony's lies about the PS2 being 20X more powerful than DC insured the DC's death. Sega used to be arguably the best video gaming company during the 80's and 90's. They created Phantasy Star, Shinobi, Daytona 500, Virtua Fighter, After Burner, and many other great games. However they also burned 32X, Saturn and DC owners by not supporting there products for atleast 4-6 years.
hey i admit. the dreamcast and the saturn (in japan anyways) were awesome and my import saturn is my favorite system of all time. but as bad as sega screwed up in the states with the saturn, the sega CD and 32X, and the crap games they have made and published over the last 2 gens, they technically deserve to go bankrupt and die.
SEGA did this to themselves with poor decison making and bad ADD ons like Mega CD and 32X. Plus their mascot doesn't seem to be have quality titles since 2001.

Now this brought the lulz.
I definitely think a whole console with games of the current quality sega are putting out especially those lauded Sonic 3D platformers would do sooooooo well.
At being atrocious.
Sega is like a boxer with concussion which is so confused he is on his back boxing in the air. They're dead. Forgotten how to make great games, forgotten how to be a big name in the industry. They've not just been making games though. They've also put their name published to a few other developers, some of which have been good, (Total) and some of which, well, were like the rest of segas output. (The Conduit).
