Why?
Its like sega doesn't want money...but look what they did to sonic and the majority of all they're other franchises.
do we atleast have any news on PSO2's release date? lawlessxyou know you could still play the game in english right? there is an unoffical patch that changes translates the game. sega doesn't seem to care(or they really dont know) to take it down. just do a google search or go to neogaf

But the people in the Atlus buyout threads told me Sega is great!
Time to start tweeting @giocorsi who's in charge of Sonys third party team, i dont know how much they can help but they are our only chance at these type of games. (And by these type of games i mean....japanese games).....
I couldn't care less. I've never been a fan of phantasy star, and the last one that was any good was IV on the Genesis.
Localized or not is not a problem for me, I'll get the game anyway. I really want to complaint it's a lots of hassles for me to import Japanese games from here, but in Japan it's much more easier and convenient to import games from the west.

SEGA's acquisition of atlus doesn't become official until November.

Still, planning ahead of time instead of saying, "F*** THAT."Uh, no. It would be stupid to promise anything from that branch until it's finalized. I also doubt SEGA even plans to use atlus for their own niche vita games anyway.

But...it's not promising, just planning, also SEGA has done crazier stuff in the past.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="SonicNextGen2"] Still, planning ahead of time instead of saying, "F*** THAT."SonicNextGen2

I don't get how promising equals announcing, also they don't have to say Atlus is doing the localizing automatically. I am saying that one the reasons they could've bought Atlus is to use them as a localizing company, and why they don't PLAN to use them for games like these.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="SonicNextGen2"] But...it's not promising, just planning, also SEGA has done crazier stuff in the past.SonicNextGen2

Telling us they're planning on it, is telling us to expect the game here. As for Atlus, they can't plan on anything with them until they're officially part of SEGA. Don't you think they need to internally lay out the groundwork first, as well as decide on which titles they do plan on releasing first? Just because SEGA could potentially be thinking of having Atlus releasing SEGA titles, doesn't mean they have to tell the public that. In fact, it would, again, be incredibly stupid to do so. In any case, more than likely, I would expect SEGA to be hands off, and have Atlus focus on releasing their own games similarly to relic and creative assembly.

Like I said, they DON'T HAVE TO ANNOUNCE THEY'RE DOING IT. They can do it secretly, which is why I wish they'd plan on doing it with Atlus in the future, and like i said THEY DON'T HAVE TO ANNOUNCE IT, BUT ANNOUNCING THAT THEY'RE DOING THIS MEANS THERE IS NO PLANS AT ALL.[QUOTE="Renegade_Fury"][QUOTE="SonicNextGen2"] I don't get how promising equals announcing, also they don't have to say Atlus is doing the localizing automatically. All I'm saying is that if they do have potential plans with Atlus, they wouldn't tell us, regardless, and so it's perfectly sensible to publicly state their current stance on the game. They also said "Should this change, we will ensure the information is shared as soon as possible," so nothing is permanent.

Yeah pretty much. Â Still would have been nice to at least see what a new single player PS could be like, but I doubt it would live up to the classics.
SEGA, I swear, if you dont allow Atlus games to be published, I will boycott the s*** out of you.bbkkristianthey'll allow it... new Sonic RPG incoming
