Selecting the GotY part 2: MIcrosoft's representative

Read part 1 for how I'm organizing this. Otherwise, here are Microsoft's contestants:

Mass Effect

The fact that Mass Effect is being developed by Bioware alone made this game one to keep in mind. Beyond Bioware's development pedigree, though, is the fact that this game looks freakin' gorgeous. The character models are possibly the most detailed ever seen in a game, and possibly the most expressive. 360 gamers have been itching to play this game for almost a year, and the wait is nearly over.

Halo 3

This is about as much of a "no-brainer" as it gets. After all, it is the end of possibly the best shooter trilogy on consoles. Hell, there's already 1,000,000 preorders for this game! Despite the god-like anticipation for this game, though, Bungie has been mum in regards to the story, which perfectly sensible as much as it is infuriating to Halo die-hards. Perhaps even more anticipated than the ending to the trilogy, though, is the multi-player. Halo 2 is far and away the most played online game on the original Xbox and continued to be the most played on the 360 until Gears of War released. Now THAT'S saying something.

Lost Odyssey

The hype for this game has been through the roof; many consider it to be the 360's answer to FFXIII, and ironically enough it's being produced by Final Fantasy's creator. Whether it will be what many hope, though, is at this point an unsure thing. However, if this game is getting the same production values and attention that a FF game would, then it just might have a chance.

Bioshock is multiplat. And Halo has the best chance of all of these.

Because it got the most attention and won the most awards at E3, impressing everyone the most at E3. That's why!

I'm gonna go out of my way and say Halo 3

because I'm most excited about it's single player then the multiplayer, and any other game.

Bioshock... it might be multiplat but it should still be on the pc and 360 list. How else are we gonna vote for it? Unless you also make a "Selecting the GotY part X: Multiplats" thread.

From those though, tough choice between halo 3 and mass effect. I think halo 3 has a better chance though.

Well, the thread title says Microsoft's Representatives, and as it's appearing on both the Xbox 360 and is a Games for Windows title I would've expected it to show up.

Well, the thread title says Microsoft's Representatives, and as it's appearing on both the Xbox 360 and is a Games for Windows title I would've expected it to show up.

I don't think hermits would appreciate being lumped in with lemmings. And besides, didn't we end up resolving the whole myth about PC not being a different platform?

Hermits and lemmings are brothers. -no, lemmings. hermits are not your brothers. the PC is not a microsoft platform. the xbox is a microsoft platform. microsoft gets nothing from a pc game unless they publish the game. windows is a software program. it's one of many components that make a pc work. microsoft does not make pcs. you will be looked at funny if you act like the 360 losing an exclusive to the pc is not a bad thing. if a 360 game is available on the pc, it's one more incentive not to buy a 360.

Ok although the first half still makes no sense. Still though, the TC DID say that he'd make a GOTY part X: Multiplat topic so it doesn't matter at this point. By MS, he is talking about it's main console which would be the 360.

That's fine with me, but the topic title needs to be changed to 360 representative because Microsoft does have exclusive rights to Bioshock as of now.

Yeah, it makes sense and it is obvious only MS will be dealing with Bioshock. But here on Gamespot there is no such thing as microsoft exclusive.

Only thing is, Bioshock is only being released on Microsoft platforms, which would be Xbox 360, Microsoft Windows XP, and Microsoft Windows Vista. I don't see how that makes it any less than a microsoft exclusive, personally.
