Downloadingthe demo right now as I watch a amazing game between the Packers and Bears! I'll give it a try, but with so many games I still need to buy, like Mafia 2, Kane and lynch 2,and Madden 11, it's hard to keep up. Maybe I can skimp on givingmy kids lunch $$ for a couple of weeks, they'll understand.lol

Ninja Theory should think about Animated Movies in the future. Not gameplay.

Unless you can find it on the cheap you should rent Kane & Lynch 2. The campaign is four hours long and the multiplayer I believe is six maps with scripted AI that's the same every round.

I disagree with the TC's assertion that "The combat was top notch". I found the Heavenly Sword combat far, far better. I thought the Enslaved combat was generic and uninspired. I love Ninja Theory, so I won't write the game off completely based on the demo, but man, I gotta say I went from 'Day One' to 'wait and see' after seeing how shallow the combat was. (And maybe it's just me, but I don't really like Uncharted style platforming, and don't want to see it popping up in other games.)

people really put too emphasis sometimes on aspects on games that arent it selling point

look at Bayonetta, horrible acting (maybe on purpose), cheesy dialogue, over the top characters but possibly the best gameplay in ther past 10 years of gaming

Enslaved is all about strong narrative, character development and cinematic gameplay a la uncharted which in these areas it excels from playing the dmeo

I mean look at post-apocalyptic new york....what an amazing setting for a game!

yes the gameplay seemed a bit average yes the platforming they held your hand a bit, but I will buying this game for the setting, narrative and characters

I liked the demo and want it but i have to get Castlevania and probably Fable3 first. Enslaved will have to wait.

Yea no.. new york has seriously been done to death and I don't see why developers can't put games in another iconic city.

I never thought the game looked amazing, or even interesting. But, the demo is the reason for the lack of hype I'd think. It was bad. I know some of you guys like it, but I don't see how. I thought the combat was a joke and the camera was programmed by a drunk sadist. The platforming was automatic, and impossible to fail. Also, kinda funky looking.

Uncharted 2's platforming is exactly the same, unless you press the O button, and using a camera in game's should not be a problem it's so natural for me, and one of the least problem's when playing platform game's The combat was really good, and it looks like you'll have some cool upgrade's and using mech's as turret's and some cool looking surfing moments, the graphic's where stunning isn't this what everyone what's instead of gray's and brown's or is that just in FPS Anyway it's a First day buy for me

Just imagine it's some other city then. If it wasn't for the statue they might as well have called the place Kurtage O'Hannion, because it really doesn't look a whole lot like anything that actually exists.

The platforming seems more like just a palette cleanser rather than something that's particularly enjoyable.

Uncharted 2 is a lot more subtle with its signposting. Instead of items flashing and telegraphing "this way dumbass!", handholds are made to stand out in ways that feel natural, making it more adventurously engaging. The controls are also more responsive and the animations make it feel smoother. In the Enslaved the demo you don't get the typical lean out animation that indicates you're about to jump in the right direction. I felt disconnected with what was happening on the screen.

The combat in the demo pretty much doesn't even exist, but I think it'll be pretty decent in the full game
