*Seriously** Who is buying the PS2??

I can't figue out who is still buying the ps2. Ps2 sales are still great.I know is a great system, but all my friends either have a ps3 or x360 or they arleady have an old ps2. I just can't understand if people are just replacing old broken ps2 or if people are really buying this system.

People just aren't ready to switch to next gen yet. 130$ for the best console with the best games right now is a good deal. I will buy another one before they quit making them. That way I have a good working one to last for a long time.

think of it this way there are 6-7 billion people in the world and 100+ million ps2s out there so there is still a TON of people who dont have it.

Well many people are being intoduced to gaming by the minute so I think everyone(whose sensible) starts from the beggining which is/was PS2 and just by logic there are roughly 6.6 billion people in the world and ofcourse not everyone is into gaming so by now 120 million have bought a ps2 so I think its very easy to understand that many people still go for it being the cheapest console with a large variety of games and with the motion sensing stuff coming its going to sell even more as till now all that motion sensing stuff is only on Wii but when ps2's motion sensing stuff arrives its going to be a more intense with ps2 being cheapest console even more than Wii.

dude ps2 is cheap, and has the best and most diverse games library of any console so far. there isn't any reason not to buy it.
