Settling the Ninja Gaiden Sigma dispute

Once and for all. This arguement concluded in the past, but whenever a AAA exclusive comparison crops up, someone will always claim NGS is a PS3 AAA exclusive game, another person will claim it isn't, and the arguement starts all over again. So, once and for all, is it an exclusive or not?

Arguements in for:

Last-gen versions dont count. It's the only next-gen version of the game. It has updates such as two swords, and rachael add-on.

Arguements against:

Just 'cause it's on a next gen machine doesn't mean it's next gen. You can still play it on the xbox. Core of the game is the same as the original; little new stuff to be seen. If this counts as an exclusive, then Gears of War and Guitar Hero 2 both count as exclusives too as they are both in the same situation.

GTA4 is exclusive to the Xbox 360 then... with it's extra content... The Wii has two AAA exclusives... Where does this end...

Casey "settled the dispute" a long time ago. It is not exclusive.

Personally though, I think if a remake is different enough from the original, it should be an exclusive. SW won't stand for it though.

I agree with your point but, GTAIV wouldn't be exclusive to 360 under those rules cause the DLC is not included on the disc or at the release of the game.

So? It's still exclusive content... but that aside it's broken logic anyway... and it's a good thing this won't be an issue.

sigma is to what ngb is to ng.

i played sigma it is pretty much the same. they did make few minor changes in the level design on some areas as well. example on ngb/ng in the lava level you had to go thru a fire maze to fight a mini-boss where in sigma they took it out and you just fight the mini boss once you enter through the door. in exchange for taking out the maze the mini-boss fight can do something where he/they (depends on difficulty) didnt do in ng/ngb.

overall its the same game i was able to finish the game really quick while doing everything in the game such as fiend challenges and get all 50 scarabs(i knew where they all located since i remembered in ng/ngb).

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is the same game as Black except for: More lag/slowdown No rumble on the controller Crappy Rachel levels. Granted, the graphics are gorgeous (and sadly, the best looking graphics on the PS3 as of today), but 5 minutes into playing it, I kept forgetting I was playing my PS3 and systematically ran through the game as I have done numerous times on my X-Box. Basically you won't pay attention to the graphics if you've played it before. The voice acting and the cutscenes, however, were untouched! The cutscenes actually look worse than the graphics in the game! The only thing add was one new weapon and too many save points and shops. Ninja Gaiden Black was a much bigger upgrade to Ninja Gaiden than Sigma was to Black, and not only added a new weapon, but new moves for existing ones (ultimate technique without essence), real new enemies (opposed to exisiting enemies riding on motorbikes), and Mission Mode. Therefore, let this thread die, because saying that this game is exclusive is like saying saying Metal Gear Solid 2 on X-Box was exclusive. Remember, Snake could skateboard in my game.chaotzu

i completly agree with you.

just want to add the feelings/thoughts you had about sigma i felt the same way. sigma was a joke to me cause they added more save points and shops in the game. made it less challenging and didnt seem rewarding after playing ng/ngb. rachel has great set of moves. kinda dissapointing that were chapters were really short and her chapters seemed tacted on on most parts. im glad they were able to add her on mission mode so that was a plus.

There is no such thing. This is system wars, not your own little forum You cannot change the rules to suit yourself. It is not an exclusive game. End of story.
