I just got the latest edition of Official Playstation Mag UK, and when I got to the reviews section, I found something that horrified me. They did - they gave Heavenly Sword a 7.
Now, I don't blame the magazine here, that's not what this topic's about. What I want to know is, after five years in development, FIVE ****ING YEARS, how the heck did it get a 7? According to OPM, it took them 5 and a half hours to complete. How does a developer actually manage to make an hour and six minutes of gameplay a YEAR? HOW DID THEY DO IT???? This shouldn't be possible, I just don't understand.
Don't post fanboy comments, please, like "It's the CELL and the PS3 being hard to develop for", because it isn't. How else would Ubisoft say that the CELL isn't any harder, and how else would we get games like Motorstorm and Resistance if far, far less than 5 years? No, it's just beyond me how they managed.
OPM also gave Lair a 6, which actually seems pretty unfair, if you read the review. But on a brighter note, they gave Warhawk a 9 and Singstar PS3 a 9 as well, so it wasn't all depressing reading.
And if you're interested, Stranglehold got an 8. It's supposed to be the world's first review or something.
